Here was a brief recap of what had happened.

Rhode discovered that Caer Darrow's terrain made it easy to defend and difficult to attack.

To avoid excessive casualties, Rhode decided to bombard the gates with Fireball first, but the results were mediocre.

So he first blasted away the Arrow Tower and gun turrets above the gates to reduce the defenders' firepower.

Rhode's Fireball, combined with the Ogre Shaman Targ's Windfury, set the walls and gates ablaze.

Every member of the mage unit summoned an arcane golem. Whether it could fight or not, each one charged forward, forcing the enemy to mass their troops for a counterattack.

Rhode gathered almost all his mana, including the mana in his equipped ruby set, into one enormous fireball and sent it blasting forward alongside the arcane golems.

The enemy's main formation was scattered and their morale plummeted. Then the attack began.

The Ogre vanguard had now charged onto the stone bridge and was approaching the fallen gates.

"My lord, what do we do now?" Caer Darrow's commanders looked anxiously at Alex Barov.

But Alex did not respond at all.

He simply stared blankly ahead, gazing into the distant darkness.

Their lord had either gone mad or lost his wits.

The commanders realized this.

They knew they would have to rely on themselves now.

They had to quickly rally the scattered soldiers and organize their resistance.

The Ogres would not listen to reason. Everyone in the castle would surely be slaughtered, then... eaten by the Ogres!

Although they did not know why the Ogres had suddenly attacked them, the stone bridge leading to the gates was still relatively narrow. If they organized a proper counterattack, they still had a chance of holding them off.

But then the commanders witnessed a sight that
