Fusing with the Gold of Life

After adjusting his condition once more, Lin Xuanchen stirred his thoughts and sank his awareness into his Sea of Consciousness.

Once inside his Sea of Consciousness, he looked out upon an astonishing expanse of emerald green.

From the ground beneath his feet to the sky above, everything was a breathtaking emerald green. Towering ancient trees even grew there, brimming with the breath of life.

This was Lin Xuanchen's Sea of Consciousness, a Sea of Consciousness overflowing with life.

Originally, Lin Xuanchen's Sea of Consciousness had looked nothing like this. It had only been tempered into its present form after he obtained the Flame of Life and was chosen by the Goddess of Life.

Soon, Lin Xuanchen spotted the person he had come to find-Electrolux!

At that moment, Electrolux was still a gray sphere of light, hovering quietly above his Sea of Consciousness.

"Senior, you've been staying in my Sea of Consciousness for quite some time. Why not come down for a chat?" Lin Xuanchen raised his gaze to Electrolux hovering overhead and smiled.

"Heh, very well." Suddenly, an elderly chuckle rang through Lin Xuanchen's Sea of Consciousness. Then Electrolux slowly descended from the sky and landed before him, taking the form of an elderly man.

"Young friend, it seems you deliberately lured me here." Electrolux went straight to the point without wasting a word.

"Of course." Lin Xuanchen nodded and explained, "My teacher is a god-level powerhouse. She also left a strand of divine consciousness in my Sea of Consciousness. It was through that strand that I sensed your presence and deliberately drew you here."

Naturally, Lin Xuanchen could not tell the truth, so he could only toss the blame onto his teacher's divine consciousness. The explanation made sense anyway. The Goddess of Life was a God King-level deity, so it should have been perfectly normal for her to sense Electrolux.

"I see." Electrolux nodded at his words, understanding flashing through his eyes. "I did indeed sense powerful divine consciousness within your Sea of Consciousness. But there isn't just one strand. There are two."

"Huh?" Lin Xuanchen was a little dumbfounded. He asked in confusion, "Could you have sensed it incorrectly, senior? Where would two strands of divine consciousness in my Sea of Consciousness have come from?"

Lin Xuanchen was rather bewildered. He remembered that when the Goddess of Life chose him as her successor, she had used her divine consciousness to communicate with him and take him as her disciple.

He also knew that the Goddess of Life had left a strand of divine consciousness in his Sea of Consciousness. Yet Electrolux was now saying that there were two strands, leaving him scratching his head.

Two strands of divine consciousness... anyone who could plant another strand in my Sea of Consciousness right under the Goddess of Life's nose would probably have to be a God King like her. Lin Xuanchen thought it over, and an idea soon surfaced in his mind.

Could it be the God of Destruction? Lin Xuanchen quickly arrived at that possibility. The God of Destruction was the one closest to the Goddess of Life. They were husband and wife, so he was the most likely candidate.

As for the other three God Kings, they were most likely out of the question. The God of Kindness and the God of Evil probably did not have that much time on their hands.

With the God of Destruction keeping an eye on Tang San, he probably could not have succeeded either. Thus, Lin Xuanchen could be almost certain that the other strand of divine consciousness in his Sea of Consciousness belonged to the God of Destruction.

"I did indeed sense two strands of divine consciousness within your Sea of Consciousness. One is gentle yet vast, containing tremendous vitality. The other is its opposite, containing an exceedingly powerful force of destruction," Electrolux explained.

"Oh, that settles it, then," Lin Xuanchen murmured in understanding. After hearing Electrolux's explanation, he could now be certain that the other strand of divine consciousness in his Sea of Consciousness belonged to the God of Destruction.

"Senior, since I deliberately drew you here, I would like to invite you to stay in my Sea of Consciousness." Lin Xuanchen cupped his hands toward Electrolux.

"Since you've extended the invitation, young friend, I won't stand on ceremony. My name is Electrolux, and I come from a plane called the Holy Demon Continent. You may call me Elder Yi," Electrolux said lightly.

"Elder Yi." Lin Xuanchen smiled. "There is one more favor I would like to ask. I hope you can help me fuse with the Blade of Life's Watch-the gold of life I used to draw you here."

"Of course. No problem at all." Electrolux agreed without hesitation.

"This will naturally benefit me as well. While I remain in your Sea of Consciousness, its vast vitality nourishes me, so my divine consciousness is in no danger of dissipating."

"But helping you fuse with the gold of life will not only stabilize this strand of my divine consciousness, it will also bring you tremendous benefits," Electrolux said slowly.

"Then I'm sorry for the trouble, senior." Lin Xuanchen cupped his hands toward Electrolux again, then stirred his thoughts and withdrew from his Sea of Consciousness.

Without needing any prompting from Electrolux, Lin Xuanchen pointed the Blade of Life's Watch in his hand at his forehead and pressed it against his skin.

The instant the Blade of Life's Watch touched Lin Xuanchen's forehead, a gentle yet vast aura swept out from it.

Then, under Electrolux's control, the vitality of the Blade of Life's Watch poured continuously into Lin Xuanchen's Sea of Consciousness. During the process, his entire exterior was suffused with an azure-green hue.

Before long, Lin Xuanchen completed his fusion with the Blade of Life's Watch. A third eye opened between his brows, giving him something of Erlang Shen's divine bearing.

"Hmm, this Eye of Life looks pretty good. It's azure-green, just like my own eyes. They match quite well." Lin Xuanchen lightly flicked his Storage Ring with a finger and took out a mirror. Looking at his reflection, he could not help smiling in satisfaction.

"Xuanchen, I'll move into your second sea of consciousness for now. If anything comes up, you can contact me through your spiritual origin." Just then, Electrolux's aged voice rang out in Lin Xuanchen's Sea of Consciousness.

"All right, Elder Yi," Lin Xuanchen replied. Then he tidied up and left the hotel.

Since he had already moved into the hotel, he would naturally have to return to Shrek Academy's first-year dormitory and bring over all his belongings.

By the time Lin Xuanchen returned to the academy, it was already afternoon.

Without the slightest delay, Lin Xuanchen went to his dormitory, pushed open the door, and stepped inside.

But the moment he opened the door and walked in, he was dumbstruck.
