Personality

Yan is loyal despite fear. When Tang Hao threatens Qin Chuan, he steps forward alongside Hu Liena and Xie Yue even though they know they cannot withstand a Titled Douluo’s attack. His fists tremble, but he does not retreat 11.

He is enthusiastic, competitive, and prone to overconfidence in games. He immediately volunteers to be the first Seeker in Object Hide-and-Seek, considers five minutes ample time to find six opponents, and demands another round after losing. After nearly two hours of play, he still wants to continue 20 21 22.

The Fruit Machine exposes his difficulty accepting losses: near-misses repeatedly convince him to try “one more time,” and Xie Yue eventually has to drag him away. Nevertheless, he takes his work seriously enough to enforce queues and inspect the hall’s doors and windows before leaving 17 19 23 25.

Yan remains conscious after the Spirit Hall team’s defeat, staying close behind Hu Liena with Xie Yue as Qin Chuan’s Game Domain encloses the arena. Both watch its developments warily 4.

After Qin Chuan secures Spirit Hall’s victory, Yan shares in the celebration. When Tang Hao threatens to kill Qin Chuan, Yan joins Hu Liena and Xie Yue in shielding him. Qin Chuan instead traps Tang Hao in Destiny Roulette; outside its purple-mist barrier, Yan holds Hu Liena back as she tries to reach him 11 12.

Yan later attends Qin Chuan’s appointment as Spirit Hall’s Saint Son and leaves Spirit Hall with him, Hu Liena, and Xie Yue 14.

Douluo Game Hall Employment

• Opening day: Works at the entrance alongside Xie Yue, loudly directing the queue while the pair handle order and payments 16.
• Customer admission: Waves Xue Qinghe inside, assuming he is another wealthy young gentleman 17.
• Queue enforcement: Warns that customers who cut in line will lose membership points 23.
• Closing duties: Removes a customer who refuses to leave, bolts the entrance, helps collect discarded packaging, and checks the first-floor doors and windows before securing the hall 25.

Object Hide-and-Seek

Xue Qinghe pays for seven participants, including Yan, to try the upstairs attraction. Yan volunteers as the first Seeker, who must find all six Hiders within five minutes 19 20.

Embarrassed by Qin Chuan’s disguise, Yan demands another round. Xiao Wu becomes the next Seeker, while Yan receives a broom disguise. The group continues playing for nearly two hours 22.
