There was a second of silence on the other end of the phone.
Just as Wang Qiang thought he had intimidated him, Chen Lin's utterly cold voice rang out again.
"Threatening me? Fine. Go ahead and investigate."
"But right now, take your people and get the hell out of my resort. Immediately."
"Stay one minute longer, and I'll have you thrown out."
"Beep-beep-beep-"
The call ended abruptly.
He was domineering to the core, without the slightest regard for saving anyone's face.
Wang Qiang trembled with rage, even the hand holding his phone shaking. He pointed at Su Mei and spat through gritted teeth, "Fine! Just fine! You'll regret this! You had your chance to do this the easy way. I'm calling the Industrial and Commercial Bureau right now..."
He had just turned to leave when the light at the doorway suddenly dimmed.
A tall, silver-white figure with a cold metallic sheen had silently appeared in the doorway.
Friday's mechanical eyes glowed red, locked firmly on Wang Qiang.
An emotionless synthesized voice rang out in the deathly quiet corridor:
"Hostile visitor detected."
"Executing forced removal protocol in accordance with master's instructions."
Staring at the futuristic robot before him, Wang Qiang's brain froze for a moment. "What... what the hell is this thing? A costume?"
He instinctively reached out to shove the "hunk of metal" blocking his path.
"Get lost! Quit blocking the way!"
But the moment his hand touched Friday's chest plate, it felt as though he had struck a granite wall. The impact sent pain shooting through his wrist.
The next second, Friday moved.
It extended its mechanical arm, gleaming with cold silver light, and seized the back of Wang Qiang's collar with lightning speed.
In Friday's grip, the two-hundred-pound Wang Qiang weighed no more than a chick awaiting slaughter.
