Chen Lin pressed the answer button.
"Advisor Chen, something's happened." Ye Wenjun's voice on the other end betrayed unmistakable anxiety.
Chen Lin picked up his Spirit Spring Tea and blew on the floating leaves. "Take your time."
"America has joined forces with seven nations, including Little Japan, to conduct joint military exercises in the international waters of the South China Sea." Ye Wenjun spoke rapidly. "The fleet is unprecedented in size: three nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and over a hundred frigates. Under the pretext of exercises, they're pushing straight toward our territorial waters." (This is a parallel world, unrelated to reality.)
"That's all?" Chen Lin frowned slightly.
Last time, he had vaporized an entire aircraft carrier fleet in the East China Sea. Had America learned nothing from that beating?
"There's more." Ye Wenjun drew a deep breath. "Our South Sea Fleet has already moved forward to confront them. But two hours ago, five senior commanders aboard the Frontline Command Ship, including the commander-in-chief, suddenly fell into deep comas at the same time. Their vital signs are intact, but they won't wake up. The ship's medical officers are helpless."
Ye Wenjun paused, lowering his voice almost to a whisper. "Our intelligence department captured images from a high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft. Several people in bizarre clothing were standing on the enemy flagship's deck. We suspect supernatural forces are involved in the joint fleet. They've used some incomprehensible method to decapitate our command structure."
Chen Lin's eyelids lifted slightly.
Supernatural forces?
Aside from the immortal cultivators barely clinging to life in those grotto-heaven blessed lands on Blue Star, had legacies survived overseas too?
"Understood." Chen Lin set down his teacup. "I'll handle it."
"Wonderful! Advisor Chen, what support do you need from us? A military aircraft is already on standby at Yicheng Airport." Ye Wenjun
