"Six thousand?"
Chen Lin frowned slightly, his fingers rubbing the rough surface of the crimson blood copper mother. "The Law of Fire inside is indeed still intact, but there are too many impurities. Refining it would leave less than a tenth. It's worth three thousand at most."
With that, he flicked his wrist and tossed the crimson blood copper mother back onto the stall.
The movement was crisp and decisive.
Chen Lin straightened, turned, and walked away without the slightest hesitation.
"Wait! Senior, please stay!" The old man panicked. Six thousand was indeed an outrageous asking price. Here on the outskirts of the Recruit Camp, customers who could produce thousands of mid-grade spirit crystals at once were rare, especially formidable ones whose capabilities he couldn't fathom.
"Senior, if the price is too high, we can negotiate. Make me an offer. This thing is useful, after all!" the old man pleaded urgently.
Chen Lin stopped and turned, looking down at the old man.
He remained silent for a full three breaths, staring until cold sweat seeped from the old man's forehead. Only then did he slowly crouch and pick up the crimson blood copper mother again.
"Since you asked me to make an offer." Chen Lin's tone was level as his left hand casually reached toward a corner of the stall. "Throw this in, and I'll give you six thousand mid-grade spirit crystals."
His left hand carelessly picked up the clay jar covered in grime.
"I happen to need a chamber pot." Chen Lin turned the battered jar in his hand, a trace of impatience in his voice.
The old man froze, his gaze fixed firmly on the clay jar.
A chamber pot?
Suspicion surged within him. Why would an expert whose cultivation he couldn't discern want a piece of junk
