"Enough smoke and mirrors!"
Watching the golden light gathering around Nidhogg, the Demon of Eternal Night sneered. Then his enormous hand of black mist squeezed hard, clenching into a tight fist, and the streams of golden light vanished with it.
The Demon of Eternal Night smiled as though everything were under control. "Hmph, and here I thought..."
But before he could finish, the Demon of Eternal Night abruptly turned his head.
Nidhogg was flapping his pitch-black wings, having appeared out of thin air behind him without a scratch!
"Not nearly strong enough!" Nidhogg laughed, baring his teeth.
The eyes concealed within the Demon of Eternal Night's black mist grew colder. "You're a stubborn little bug!"
As his words fell, hundreds upon thousands of strands of black mist shot out like hooked chains, forming an all-encompassing black net in the blink of an eye and sealing Nidhogg inside.
But a moment later, dazzling golden light burst through the gaps in the black mist.
Boom!
The true demon's chains of black mist were crushed by the golden light.
Within that golden light, Nidhogg's Golden Eyes blazed like twin suns. An immensely powerful force surged through every part of his body like a tide, and an indescribable draconic pressure enveloped the entire domain.
"World Power, fusion, sixteenfold boost!"
Nidhogg spoke softly, yet his words sounded like an absolute command delivered to the entire world by a sovereign who reigned supreme.
At that moment, the ground across the entire Yagu Continent shook violently, and abyssal fissures opened in the earth.
It was like a massive earthquake sweeping across the world, or an omen that the entire world was about to collapse.
At the same time, however, Nidhogg's power swelled wildly, rising far beyond anything a newly ascended god could attain.
