Five figures raced steadily through a long passage.
On either side of the passage stood enormous Buddha figures a thousand zhang tall! Every one of them wore a hideous, terrifying expression, like vengeful ghosts that had crawled out of the depths of hell.
These Buddhas gripped all manner of weapons. Some held incomparably sharp longswords that glinted with cold light; others held thick, heavy spiked clubs stained with flecks of blood. Their armor was imposing, gleaming with a metallic sheen. Like war generals among Buddhas, they stood there, mighty and unyielding.
The mere sight of these enormous Buddha Statues was enough to convey an unparalleled sense of martial grandeur and overbearing power.
That aura was like a surging sea, wave after wave battering their minds, leaving them shaken despite themselves. Moreover, the entire space was filled with a spine-chilling, almost suffocating aura of evil spirits.
As though alive, this aura swirled and surged among the Buddha Statues, sometimes turning into wisps of black smoke, sometimes coalescing into hideous ghostly faces, adding an even stranger atmosphere to this already sinister, terrifying place.
Looking down, they saw that the ground was covered with enormous skeletons of demonlike ghost monsters. These skeletons came in all shapes: some resembled giant dragons with fangs bared and claws outstretched, some looked like loathsome yakshas, and others were like demon gods with three heads and six arms.
They exuded waves of chilling menace, as though the slightest careless touch would cause someone to be devoured in an instant, leaving not even a scrap of bone.
Yet amid this dangerous aura, Ye Han, Buddha-Seal Daoist, Hei Lin, Fairy Water Dew, and Fairy Fire Spirit were shrouded in hazy gray Buddhist Dao spirit light, with swastika character runes revolving within it...
