Ch. 1781Deep underground

Xu Nuo led Ye Han, the Immortal-Thief Outsider Race, and Bai Daozi through the Tailfolk’s underground passages toward a route out of the Foreign Race Homeland. They reached a gate marked with the Star-Seizing Tower’s sun symbol, where Ye Han found more than a dozen emaciated Tailfolk waiting inside.

  • Xu Nuo explained that the Tailfolk had been driven underground and that the Ice Qilin King blocked their escape and threatened their survival.
  • Ye Han decided to use the Ice Qilin King's blood soul to strengthen the Thousand Illusion Heavenly Bell and hurried onward to avoid being overtaken by others in the Star-Seizing Tower.
  • Xu Nuo guided Ye Han, the Immortal-Thief Outsider Race, and Bai Daozi through more than a dozen restricted stone gates and down ten thousand zhang into Tailfolk territory.
  • After more than four hours, Xu Nuo used a Starry Sky Stone bearing a sun symbol to open a metal gate marked with the same relief as the Star-Seizing Tower's entrance.
  • Ye Han saw more than a dozen skeletal Tailfolk inside the gate, and they greeted Xu Nuo with delighted surprise.

Ch. 1782The Great Chieftain

Ye Han and his companions followed Xu Nuo into the Tailfolk settlement, where Ye Han noticed that the clanspeople were strangely emaciated. Xu Nuo presented the Ice Qilin King’s corpse to the Grand Elder, but the elder attacked Ye Han after he appeared to be hiding something.

  • Xu Nuo told the Tailfolk that the three High Immortals had killed the Ice Qilin King and led Ye Han, the Immortal-Thief Outsider Race, and Bai Daozi through the gate.
  • Ye Han saw that the Tailfolk throughout their settlement were thin and depleted, then warned his companions not to alert them or act rashly.
  • Xu Nuo sent Quan Feng to escort the three visitors and went to report to the Great Chieftain.
  • The Grand Elder accused Xu Nuo of lying until Xu Nuo produced the Ice Qilin King’s corpse.
  • The Grand Elder sensed Ye Han and fired a black sword-ray at the stairs, and Ye Han countered with a Golden Vast Sword-Ray.

Ch. 1783Looks like you want me to drag you out!

Ye Han confronted the Great Chieftain after discovering that he was draining the Tailfolk’s essence blood while hiding in the Castle. Despite the restriction formation sealing his cultivation, Ye Han defeated the metal warriors, and the Great Chieftain summoned a gigantic Blood-Colored Evil Dragon to stop him.

  • Ye Han appeared to protect Xu Nuo from sword-energy fragments and demanded that the Great Chieftain come out and explain himself.
  • The Great Chieftain activated the Castle’s restriction formation, which suppressed Xu Nuo and sealed Ye Han’s spell power and cultivation.
  • Ye Han accused the Great Chieftain of draining the Tailfolk’s essence blood, a scheme he had uncovered by questioning Quan Feng about the people’s weakness and monthly offerings.
  • The Great Chieftain ordered four peak nascent soul metal warriors to attack Ye Han, but Ye Han battered them into the tower with his physical strength.
  • Ye Han charged toward the tower, and the Great Chieftain summoned a gigantic Blood-Colored Evil Dragon above the Castle.

Ch. 1784The Great Chieftain's Madness

Ye Han regained his spell power after the Immortal-Thief Outsider Race member and Bai Daozi destroyed the castle’s formation, then defeated the Great Chieftain’s blood dragon and broke into his tower. There he found the Grand Elder preserved in a Water Spirit Coffin, and the Great Chieftain began draining the blood pool to restore his youth.

  • The Immortal-Thief Outsider Race member and Bai Daozi broke the formation, freeing Ye Han from the seal on his spell power and cultivation.
  • Ye Han used Nine Dragons Ravage Heaven to tear apart the Great Chieftain’s blood dragon, terrifying the Tailfolk.
  • Ye Han sent his nine dragons against the Great Chieftain’s tower, destroying its defenses and exposing a blood pool with the Grand Elder inside a Water Spirit Coffin.
  • The Great Chieftain rejected Ye Han’s accusation that he had sacrificed his people to stay alive and summoned an enormous demon-like figure.
  • The Great Chieftain channeled the blood pool’s power into the Grand Elder, whose face and hair began to regain their youth.

Ch. 1785Avenge the Grand Patriarch!

Ye Han and his allies fought the Tailfolk Grand Patriarch after discovering he had used demonic cultivation to prolong his life with his people's qi and blood. Ye Han killed him, but the Tailfolk blamed the outsiders and demanded revenge.

  • Ye Han accused the Grand Patriarch of using a demonic technique, and Bai Daozi raised a formation around the castle to contain the fight.
  • The Grand Patriarch attacked Ye Han with demonic arms from his Blood Lotus, but Ye Han's Gods-and-Devils Hand destroyed them.
  • The Grand Patriarch used Steal Heaven and Replace the Sun to swap places with the Immortal-Thief Outsider Race, then tried to devour Ye Han with a demonic shadow.
  • Ye Han crushed the demonic shadow and struck the Grand Patriarch with the Abyss-Slaying Long Halberd, killing him and cleaving the castle in two.
  • The formation and Defensive Treasures contained the blast, but Xu Nuo and the Tailfolk accused the outsiders of murder and called for revenge.

Ch. 1786Still Haven't Come to Your Senses?

Ye Han subdued Xu Nuo and convinced the Tailfolk that their Great Chieftain had exploited them and was a demon, earning their gratitude. As they thanked him, a powerful surge of Chilling Qi erupted from the Great Chieftain’s cleaved Tower.

  • Xu Nuo charged Ye Han with a spear and shield, but Ye Han struck him aside with a golden palm.
  • Ye Han restrained the Tailfolk with his Divine Sense and claimed he had come to save them from their demon-controlled Great Chieftain.
  • Ye Han pointed to the Great Chieftain’s demands for essence blood and his repeated missions against the Ice Qilin King, persuading the Tailfolk that they had been deceived.
  • Xu Nuo knelt before Ye Han in gratitude, and the other Tailfolk joined him in thanking the High Immortal.
  • A fierce surge of Chilling Qi erupted from the Great Chieftain’s cleaved Tower, startling Ye Han and his companions.

Ch. 1787Cursed chilling qi

After Ye Han destroyed the Great Chieftain's tower, cursed chilling qi erupted and began harming the Tailfolk. Ye Han and Bai Daozi contained the outbreak temporarily, while the Immortal-Thief Outsider Race cultivator located the Curse Formation deep underground and Ye Han prepared to deal with the remaining danger.

  • Chilling qi burst from the ground beneath the tower, and Xu Nuo warned Ye Han that the ice spring had erupted.
  • Ye Han pressed down the chilling qi with a golden hand, while Bai Daozi used a giant Flame Orb to ease the Tailfolk's suffering from the curse.
  • Ye Han suppressed the spreading ice with earth spirit qi and demanded that Xu Nuo explain how to break the curse.
  • Xu Nuo said the Great Chieftain had claimed that sacrificing the Ice Qilin King's corpse would remove the curse, but he did not know where to perform the sacrifice.
  • The Immortal-Thief Outsider Race cultivator found the Curse Formation a hundred thousand feet underground and said the Ice Qilin King's corpse might break it.
  • Ye Han said he would handle the cursed chilling qi on the surface.

Ch. 1788Ice Law Stone

Ye Han descended beneath the chamber and used the Ice Qilin King's corpse to activate a sacrificial formation, transforming the cursed chilling qi into warm blue-red flames. He found an Ice Law Stone in the collapsing statue and suspected he had passed the Foreign Race Homeland's trial before receiving a signal from Elder Liu.

  • Ye Han stored the Ice Qilin King's corpse, left the Immortal-Thief Outsider Race to contain the chilling qi, and burrowed underground.
  • Ye Han resisted the cursed ice with his fire spirit root and Truefire Spirit Art, then found an Ice Qilin statue and a concealed Sacrificial Formation.
  • Ye Han placed the Ice Qilin King's corpse in the formation, and its blue-red flames consumed the corpse and dispelled the cursed chilling qi.
  • The Ice Qilin statue crumbled after releasing its flames, revealing an Ice Law Stone that Ye Han believed could strengthen his ice spirit root and help his Cold Art break through.
  • Ye Han wondered about the chamber's connection to the Tailfolk and sensed he might have passed the trial before his waist vibrated with a signal from Elder Liu.

Ch. 1789A Growing Sense of Urgency

Ye Han received a brief, urgent message from Elder Liu warning him that the Nine Dragons of the Ten-Thousand-Year Nine-Dragon Wall were flawed and that the Moon God had been released. After the message cut off, Ye Han suspected the Moon God had possessed the Heaven-Shaking Divine Venerable’s body, then used the Purple Cauldron to absorb the Ice Law Stone and advance his Cold Art.

  • Ye Han received Elder Liu’s message through his Legacy Disciple token, but the communication ended before Elder Liu could finish.
  • Ye Han realized the Nine Dragons Locking the Sky formation could not open an ascension passage and worried that Elder Liu and his companions were in danger.
  • Ye Han suspected the Moon God had taken over the Heaven-Shaking Divine Venerable’s body and entered the Star-Seizing Tower on the Unfixed Immortal Path.
  • Ye Han swallowed the Ice Law Stone and found that the evolved Purple Cauldron could absorb its power.
  • Ye Han used the Ice Law Stone’s energy to break his Cold Art through to the third layer, while his ice-attribute spirit root began nearing a breakthrough.

Ch. 1790I'm Not as Stupid as You Say

Elder Liu and Zhang Qingshan discussed their growing imprisonment, Ye Han’s progress, and the Moon God’s betrayal as they waited for help. Ye Han emerged from the tower after lifting the Tailfolk’s chilling qi curse and immediately considered how to leave the Foreign Race Homeland.

  • Elder Liu told Zhang Qingshan that their connection with Ye Han kept breaking as the restrictions around them strengthened.
  • Elder Liu explained that the Star-Seizing Tower was the only path for Earth Realm cultivators to ascend and warned that the Moon God had also entered it.
  • Zhang Qingshan suggested that the Moon God might have been a traitor from the beginning, prompting Elder Liu to reconsider his history.
  • Elder Liu and Zhang Qingshan agreed to wait for Ye Han, while Zhang Qingshan chose to keep cultivating instead of lying in the Water Spirit Coffin.
  • Ye Han emerged from the tower, and Xu Nuo knelt to thank him for saving the Tailfolk.
  • Ye Han saw that the chilling qi curse had vanished and resolved to leave the Foreign Race Homeland as soon as possible.

Ch. 1791Who Would Believe That?

Ye Han, Bai Daozi, and the Immortal-Thief Outsider reached a formation beside the Sky-Piercing Pillar after helping the Tailfolk recover and return to the surface. They used sixteen Starry Sky Stones to open a door in the pillar and entered a hall that began rising, leaving their destination unknown.

  • Ye Han, Bai Daozi, and the Immortal-Thief Outsider raced toward the Sky-Piercing Pillar, following directions from Xu Nuo.
  • Ye Han had spent over three months helping the Tailfolk rebuild, teaching Xu Nuo and Quan Feng cultivation methods, and taking the Tailfolk's stock of more than thirty Starry Sky Stones.
  • Ye Han examined the formation beside the pillar and found that it required sixteen Starry Sky Stones, while Bai Daozi explained that such passages led to places with greater opportunities and treasures.
  • Ye Han inserted sixteen Starry Sky Stones into the formation, activating runes in the pillar and opening a mechanical door.
  • Ye Han, Bai Daozi, and the Immortal-Thief Outsider entered the pillar's hall, which sealed itself and began rising.

Ch. 1793The Guardians' Battle

Ye Han, Bai Daozi, and the Immortal-Thief Outsider witnessed Bronze Guardians battling tentacled creatures emerging from spatial rifts, then slipped past the fighting to reach the place the Guardians had been protecting. They found an ancient Star City beneath a vast barrier, and Ye Han concluded that no one was alive inside.

  • Ye Han and his companions watched more than a dozen Bronze Guardians fight rune-covered tentacles bursting from spatial rifts, with the Guardians gradually gaining the upper hand.
  • More Bronze Guardians charged up behind the three, so Ye Han, Bai Daozi, and the Immortal-Thief Outsider hid in a canyon.
  • Ye Han told his companions to race toward the direction the Guardians had come from, and they hurried past the battle while avoiding enormous footprints in the ground.
  • The three reached a star-powered barrier enclosing sprawling palaces, and Bai Daozi recognized the site as an ancient Star City of the Ancient Human Race.
  • Ye Han used an ocular technique to see through the restriction and told Bai Daozi that no living person remained in the Star City.

Ch. 1794Star City

Ye Han, the Immortal-Thief Outsider, and Bai Daozi found that Star City was abandoned and its entrance required thirty-six Starry Sky Stones to open. Ch. 1795Outer City, Inner City

Ye Han, Bai Daozi, and the Immortal-Thief Outsider Race cultivator entered Star City and traveled from its Outer City toward the Inner City, drawn by the Purple Cauldron’s vibrations. • Ye Han and his companions entered Star City and marveled at its pure spiritual energy and imposing, battle-scarred buildings.
  • Ye Han ignored the chance to cultivate and led Bai Daozi and the Immortal-Thief Outsider Race cultivator toward the Central Area.
  • The three crossed the Outer City and reached the Inner City’s defensive perimeter, where they found a thirty-thousand-meter ancient dragon skeleton.
