Machine Demon was his most trusted subordinate, which was why he had granted him the highest authority in the Association and entrusted him with all its affairs, large and small.

Lynn froze for a moment, then immediately understood. Anyone who dared speak to Machine Demon in that tone was probably the Demon Association's real boss.

Lynn smiled faintly and once again mutated his vocal cords, mimicking Machine Demon's tone and pitch as he said:
"Chairman, I've run into some serious trouble here. Once I've dealt with things, I'll report to you immediately."

But barely a few seconds later, that voice rang out again, now far colder than before.
"You're not Machine Demon. You took his communicator."
Just as Lynn was about to say something, the signal abruptly cut off.

That big boss must have taken over the Demon Association's authority.
