On the morning the Soul Lamps lit up.
In the corridor outside the ward, the Lynn-brand refrigerator sat comfortably secured to a wheelchair, trundling down the long hallway.
Such a bizarre form certainly made for quite a sight.
But one thing left Lynn deeply puzzled.
Whether they were grotesquely shaped patients or Night Doctors, everyone passing through the corridor looked utterly exhausted, with heavy dark circles under their eyes, as though none of them had slept well all day.
Still, Lynn paid it no mind.
With a (*￣︶￣) expression, he used his refrigerator's internal equipment to call Sir Awen.
"Hey, Big Brother Awen, I think I should be fine now. I want to go out for a stroll. Could you lend me thirty or fifty Black Skull Coins to buy a few things?"
Soon, Sir Awen's somewhat weary voice came through.
"No loans. If you want to go out, I'll have them issue you a pass."
Lynn immediately grew puzzled, noticing the fatigue in Sir Awen's voice.
"Big Brother Awen, what's wrong? Why do you sound so tired? Did something happen?"
On the other end, Sir Awen wearily rubbed his temples.
"Ah, yes."
"I don't know which bastard was doing something indecent in the hospital yesterday, but all that squeaking and moaning was far too loud. I've already received at least five hundred complaints. Oh, I think it was your hospital. Did you hear anything yesterday?"
Lynn said blankly, "No. I slept like a baby."
Sir Awen nodded. "Good, then. Keep an eye out too. Several patients who'd had skin excisions tore their wounds open a dozen times. Once I find that bastard, we'll kill him. You have no objections, right?"
Lynn nodded. "Absolutely none! It's my bounden duty! If there's nothing else, I'll head out now. See you later,
