Lynn ran for his life, skidding around corners with lightning at his heels.
As for looking impressive, he had absolutely no need for that!
In an instant, Lynn was cornered with nowhere to run. He slammed on the brakes, whipped his robe around as he turned, and thrust a hand toward the three Jailers charging after him, shouting with wide eyes:
"Wait a minute!! I'm your Great Lord!! Stand down at once!!"

Not a single reaction.

The three Jailers attacked in an instant, their faces expressionless, bringing overwhelming power crashing down with them. They unleashed world-shattering killing moves right from the start, as though confronting the ultimate boss of an enemy faction.
Lynn gritted his teeth. There was no other choice.
He was a heartbeat away from using his Firstborn Power, intending to forcibly break through the restraints of this illusory realm and free himself from this body.
But at that very instant.
He seemed to move.
That hand flashed across his vision like lightning. He watched it draw a pitch-black blade crackling with lightning and time out of thin air. Right before him, facing the three attacking Jailers, the blade swept across in a single slash, as though cutting through time itself.

The entire earth seemed to tremble in response.
Endless flashes blotted out his vision.
He heard a slow voice, familiar yet unfamiliar, as though reaching him from across time.
"Time to fight, Brain."

Space itself seemed to be severed on the spot.
A dazzling black mark flickered on the back of that hand, radiating an indescribable power.

Terrifying blade light swallowed the three Jailers. Lynn's pupils widened, reflecting his left hand. It was as though the entire world had been held at bay
