Colossus Brain: "If possible, that would be one way to find the cause."
Lynn: "How about you try it yourself? I think we might figure it out right away. After all, firsthand participation is always better than watching from the outside, isn't it?"
Colossus Brain: "You're welcome to try."
Lynn: "So I can try?"

Lynn seemed to take that as encouragement, and went right up to try.

Colossus Brain stared at him. "Have you always been this brave?"
Lynn: "Thanks for the compliment..."
Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle-
Lynn healed his body in agonized frustration. New bones and flesh sprouted with a rush from the greater half of his body that had been blasted apart. Under his control, the blood and scraps of flesh splattered on the walls returned to his body bit by bit. Throughout it all, Colossus Brain stared motionlessly at his flesh.
Still, there was no denying that his vitality had improved enormously.
Getting blasted to bits like this was nothing to him now. He felt that as long as his soul remained unharmed, he could wriggle back into shape even if he had been crushed into a pile of minced meat.
And finally, just as Lynn was gradually taking shape again-
Colossus Brain, who had been watching him the entire time, suddenly reached out.
