"We blasted it out!"
Lynn stood atop the Titan God's shoulder, looking toward the canyon where a vast pit had been annihilated into existence.
The surging shadows and shrieks from moments before had also been wiped out by that terrifying strike of chaos.
But the next moment.
They saw that the power of chaos, which should have reduced all things to nothing, could no longer expand or annihilate anything once it reached a certain area deep within the canyon.
"How is that possible?"
Lynn frowned. This was the first time he had ever seen anything like this.
Something had actually withstood the annihilating power of chaos.
The outer reaches of the canyon had been annihilated.
But farther inside.
Everything remained intact.
It was as though something protected it, keeping the power of chaos outside that area.
The flames in the Titan God's eye sockets flickered. His gaze was deep as he said:
"A spatial rift-some kind of power protects its exterior-that power must have blocked your bombardment-can you feel it-the nature of that power-I feel as though I've seen it somewhere before-"
Lynn stared into the abyss left by the annihilation.
In its deepest reaches.
A spatial rift stretched across it like an enormous scar, and the area surrounding that rift prevented even the might of chaos from advancing an inch.
The shadows of the Old Gods had clearly emerged from within it.
