Bai Yi murmured, "Is... is there anything... left...?"
Lynn wiped his eyes and said, "It's all gone."
Bai Yi's lips moved. He lay there in a stupor, the ceiling reflected in his eyes, feeling as though the whole world had collapsed before him.
In that instant.
He thought of his parents.
He thought of his girlfriend.
He thought of his buddies who compared sizes with him at the bathhouse...
And all of it vanished before his eyes like the wind.
Several minutes later.
Bai Yi stood up in a daze, utterly numb. Under Lynn's comfort and encouragement, he temporarily abandoned the idea of killing himself.
Because, just as his big bro had said, life in this Dark World was full of endless possibilities.
That was right!
Wasn't it just a matter of an inch or two?!
As a hot-blooded young man, would he really care about something like that?!
Compared with that inch or two, wasn't life what he should cherish most?!
"Big bro... you promised me... you'll fit me with a stainless steel one afterward. You said so! Don't lie to me... boohoo..."
Bai Yi wiped his tears with red-rimmed eyes, looking plaintively at Lynn beside him.
Lynn adjusted his Monocle and said calmly:
"Don't worry."
"Even a barbed one is doable!"
"But before that, we have something more important to do. I won't let a single one of those people who dared bully someone from my world get away with it!"
"Let's go!"
With that.
Looking grim, Lynn slung the Chainsaw over his back and, with the weak and helpless Bai Yi in tow, kicked open the freezer door.
But what they failed to notice was that, the moment they left, pair after pair of eyes slowly opened on the freezer walls.
They covered every wall.
