As everyone aboard the great ship watched in shock, the distant figures, little more than black specks, were struck by blood-red lightning and fell one after another into the raging sea. They landed right where the redstorm was thickest. They could even faintly be seen poking their heads above the waves, only to draw down the lightning overhead.
And get blasted all over again.
BOOM-
"Aaaah, Mommy!!"
BOOM-
"Aaah! Lynn, you hid in your own space without taking me with you!! You bastard!!"
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM-
(The voices were drowned out by the churning waves.)
The sailors on the distant ship stared blankly at the scene unfolding within the faraway storm, unable to utter a single word.
Only after a long while did the first mate open his parched mouth and say:
"Captain... just now... did you see that clearly? What level of creatures were those? Wh-what level of creatures could take that many hits from redstorm without dying..."
"Was I hallucinating?"
The octopus-headed captain stood rigid as well.
Was it an illusion?
No.
In the Dark World's Forbidden Sea Region, what you saw could never be an illusion. No matter how bizarre a creature was, it could exist here. There were only things you couldn't imagine, never things you couldn't see.
Were they Origins? Or something even more terrifying?
They knew all too well that even Origins wouldn't dare expose themselves to redstorm lightly, because redstorm represented the supreme will of this hell.
"Whatever the case, let's get out of here. Whether they brought this redstorm down or not, they are absolutely not beings we can afford to get involved with!"
He turned at once, his tentacles flailing, and ordered sternly.
"Full speed ahead!"
Beneath the roiling waves thousands of meters high.
