The sea level kept falling.
Following the Erosion Marks scattered across the seabed, Lynn carried Clown through the water as swiftly as a cannonball.
They reached their destination in mere minutes.
Lynn landed on the sea cliff and strode forward, looking down into the rift beneath his feet that plunged into the deepest reaches of the seabed. Its darkness reflected in his eyes, as though he were gazing into a bottomless abyss.
Clown stared blankly. "This is..."
He had sensed something beneath these Great Rifts.
Something that made his heart tremble...
Lynn's gaze was deep, his voice almost mournful.
"This is where our companion met his end. Though you no longer remember his name, without him, I could never have learned of the rebellion in the Western Sea, or what sort of death trap we'd stumbled into."
Clown shuddered from head to toe.
At that moment, he sensed it too—the embodiment of ultimate chaos, deep within the Great Rifts beneath their feet.
It wasn't that there was no light there. All light had been devoured, unable to escape.
Matter was collapsing.
Space was dissolving.
This Great Rift in the Deep Sea was like a frontier perpetually on the verge of being swallowed whole, for lurking within it was the most terrifying hunter, one that the whole of order could do nothing against.
"A Chaos Creature..."
"You're planning to..."
He instinctively shivered, his eyes trembling with both fear and grief.
He knew it had once been a Jailer, and that this would ultimately be the end of his own fate as well.
Holding his Monocle, Lynn said:
"I know this is a desecration of his corpse. But if he were still alive, I think he'd let me do it. You should know better than I do that Chaos Creatures are undying
