Lynn knew.

Lynn gripped the Trident, his eyes flickering as he rushed toward the Throne.
"After I heal you, I hope to reclaim that raven. I hope we can agree to this deal."
Flames flickered in the enormous skeleton's eyes as he rasped:
"That was yours to begin with."
With that promise secured, Lynn hesitated no longer. He leaped up in an instant and landed on the enormous skeleton's Throne, pressed both hands firmly against those grim soul bones, closed his eyes, and marshaled every ounce of his strength.

Yellow sand formed from raging firstborn power burst from his body, enveloping him like blazing golden flames.
The Trident in his hand shone with dazzling fire, as though countless powers were cheering in delight.
"I need time."
"But I will heal you!"
He kept his eyes closed.
He summoned the surging firstborn power with all his might, sending it spreading wildly toward the mountain-sized skeleton before him.
Fire blazed in every direction!
This time, Lynn had staked almost all his strength on this. He pushed and squeezed his soul almost beyond its limits. Overwhelming exhaustion swept over him like a flood, even making him sway, but he still forced himself to remain steady.
This was the last of his firstborn power!
Once it was completely spent, he feared he would no longer even have the strength to hold the Trident.
He could only stake everything he had on that raven's corpse!
