Before long, he reached the Mechanical Church's Second Line of Defense. Blocking his path was an enormous Hexagonal Energy Barrier that extended in every direction. He had seen it outside as well. This was the kind of energy barrier that sealed off the surrounding space and isolated the entire Mechanical Volcanic Range behind its Energy Defense.
Zuo Zuo said, Ծ‸Ծ, "What do we do? Charge through?"
Lynn said softly, "No need. The battle just now did a lot of damage to this area, and the Chaos I released also had a major impact here. Before they repair it, we just need to find a gap and slip through. Let's not make too much noise."
He smiled faintly.
Turning like a fish, he followed the enormous energy barrier toward the area where he had unleashed Chaos.
Sure enough, it was just as he had guessed.
To slow the expansion of Chaos, they had removed vast amounts of Geological Structures from the area directly beneath it, and the energy barrier had gone dormant. As he approached, he glanced upward through his Psionics vision.
Fighter Aircraft shot out from underground, setting off bursts of Energy Burst high in the sky.
They seemed to be trying to draw Chaos's attention this way, steering its expansion away from the ground as much as possible.
"As expected of the Mechanical Church. They actually came up with this method so quickly."
Lynn smiled faintly.
This was dictated by the very nature of Chaos.
It had an innate urge to devour higher, stronger sources of energy. Wherever the energy source was stronger, it would actively expand in that direction.
