After hearing that, War Lizard sprang to his feet with a clatter, utterly furious.
His chest heaved with embarrassed rage as he pointed at Lynn, sitting across the counter, and said:
"Are you kidding me?! Doctor, sure, I might not be able to beat you, but you need medical ethics to treat patients! Don't I know my own body?"
He looked around in a fury.
Finally, his gaze landed squarely on the chair before him.
"I'm sick?! You're saying I'm sick?!"
In an instant.
He took two steps back.
Aimed at the chair.
And cleared it easily with one big leap.
Landing perfectly, he spread his arms in fury and said:
"I'm this agile, and you think I look like a sick lizardman?! Do I look sick to you?"
"Let me tell you, I can do more than big jumps. Hey! I can do little jumps too! Hey! I can hop! I can even jump sideways!"
As he spoke.
He cleared the chair again with an easy little hop.
He pointed furiously at Lynn and said:
"Do you think a terminally ill lizardman could be as agile as me?!"
Lynn reached up, adjusted his glasses, and said calmly:
"Please calm down, sir. This doesn't prove anything. We can sit down and talk things through. You're being extremely irresponsible toward yourself."
"No! I won't! You quack! I eat eight big bowls of rice at every meal! Running two thousand meters at full speed is a piece of cake! I can smash a wooden post as thick as my thigh to splinters with one punch!"
He angrily rolled up his sleeves, pointed at the doorpost beside him, and said:
"Do you believe I can break this post with one punch?"
Lynn stood up and earnestly held out a hand. "Calm down, sir.
