A gentle breeze blew.
Beneath the deathly darkness.
Where his finger had passed, space slowly split open, as though someone had gently sliced it with a utility knife, revealing the kaleidoscopic turbulence within.
Yet the rift he had cut open did not swiftly close and mend the way ordinary space would.
The rift simply hung there in midair.
Under Lynn's quiet gaze.
In the breeze.
He gently raised his hand once more and slowly brushed it across the rift, as though wiping away a scar.
That rift...
Closed and healed.
At that moment.
Lynn slowly raised his head. After sitting motionless for who knew how long, he finally stood up.
With darkness overhead, he stood alone atop the enormous gravestone.
He raised his hand and extended his index finger.
Then gently tapped the endless darkness.
A ray of light illuminated the bitterly cold, deathly darkness. It was as though a star had lit up within it, scattering tiny specks of light.
Just as in that ancient Genesis.
God said.
Let there be light.
And then there was light within this darkness.
The awakened Zuo Zuo slowly raised her hand. Trembling as she watched Lynn's movements, she slowly extended her left hand and caught that speck of starlight that had appeared out of nowhere in the darkness.
"Brain... you..."
Lynn raised his head and gazed into the distant night for a long time. He parted his dry, cracked lips and said:
"This power... is the beginning of everything, the starting point of everything..."
"He was right. For so long, I used it like a monkey performing tricks. I only treated it as a power that ranked above psionics and magic..."
