Lynn's body instantly reappeared in the fractured void, the transition seamless.
Although he had spent long years in the past between his departure and return, less than half a minute had actually passed in the current space-time.
He instantly steadied himself amid the rifts in the sky.
Divine light flickered in his eyes.
Yet almost the moment he composed himself, he once again felt that murderous gaze lock onto him.

He whipped his head around.
Amid that boundless divine radiance, he saw twelve enormous wings spread. She looked like a figure straight out of myth, and the blazing Blade in her hand carried tremendous laws as she slashed at him head-on once more.
Lynn swiftly readied himself and abruptly raised his head.
His hand closed around his saber's hilt again.
At that moment.
The countless dazzling rays surging around him seemed to freeze the instant his hand tightened.
Facing the Light Curtain, his eyes calm, neither sorrowful nor joyful, he slowly delivered that slash.
Buzzz-
In an instant.
Under the pale-faced gazes of every Origin on the ground, the Light Curtain filling the sky suddenly flowed backward. Countless rays became a lightless night, as though all light had been stripped away in that instant. Nothing before their eyes remained visible, as though they had plunged into the boundless Abyss.
They could not see their fingers even with their hands outstretched.
"Light and darkness are one to begin with, just as wind, fire, thunder, and lightning all fall under the dominion of the elements. If you pursue only this one side, once your divine spark takes its final shape, you'll never be able to reach any higher."
In that darkness, she faintly heard that gentle voice, yet it seemed like a hallucination.
For within that lightless night.
