Blinding white light swallowed his consciousness.
An intense, stabbing pain swept over him. He could even clearly feel that power invading his soul, violently intertwining and colliding with the firstborn power within him, as though a long, brutal war had begun.
They kept intertwining, kept merging.
He gradually felt his consciousness blur. His soul was like duckweed in the wind, seemingly ready to scatter at any moment.
Only in that haze...
He seemed to see his body again, to see the surging blood energy and ether spilling out of it, fighting and slaughtering one another. But the moment his psionics joined the battle, the ether was finally suppressed completely. The three powers finally merged into one, flooding into his will.
He could not sense time, as though he had drifted alone through darkness for countless days and nights.
He had no idea how much time had passed.
Until a powerful urge to awaken suddenly flooded his consciousness, making his eyes snap open.
"Where am I..."
He instinctively looked down at his hands.
His hands were transparent. He could even see what lay beneath his feet through his palms. In other words, he was still in soul form.
He raised his head and looked around.
Everything above, below, and around him was pale. The boundless backdrop looked like an endless expanse of snow, white in every direction. At that moment, he floated within this strange, pale realm like a lonely soul.
"So, I'm still alive?"
Lynn focused, studying his surroundings.
But where exactly was this place?
He only remembered that before he completely lost consciousness, the powers within him had collided violently, as though they meant to tear his entire soul apart.
But he was still certain that before losing consciousness, he had stepped into that pale blazing sun.
