She was just like her father.
Or rather, as the eldest daughter of the Violet Family, she was also the only one who had witnessed her father's entire journey, from hitting rock bottom to wiping out all the Gods.
She had lived through joy and sorrow, reunions and partings, the shattering of one ideal after another, the rise and collapse of the Violet Empire, and the changes in every comrade who had once fought beside her in the New World.
She alone had never changed.
She turned her head and looked at Lynn beside her, confusion and uncertainty in her eyes.
"Are we the evil dragons?"
Her voice seemed laden with countless tangled emotions, yet she also sounded like a girl standing before her father, seeking an answer that would give her the resolve she needed. She was not asking Lynn. She was clearly speaking to him as though he were her father.
Were they the evil dragons?
They had destroyed the Gods and established a new order upon the Wasteland, all so that this world could keep functioning for years to come.
"I don't know."
Lynn looked into her eyes.
He could not answer her.
Because oppression and domination would never be eradicated. Whether human or god, everyone who had tried to change all this had failed.
Perhaps when an order was first established, it was still pure enough, idealistic enough, and everyone still fought with the most fervent ideals for a world without oppression. But no order could withstand the ravages of time. Slowly, that original order would grow ever harsher and stray ever further from its founding ideals.
Because she was right.
Once the gods were gone, those who wielded great power would become the new gods. Once those people were gone, the small handful of mortals
