Aivier leaped down from the top of the towering tower.
Lynn immediately scrambled to his feet and cried out in surprise:
"Hey, wait for me!"
At the foot of the towering Mage Tower, Aivier gently pushed open the door that had remained closed for countless years.
The scene from when they had teleported here during the day was still vivid in her mind. The entire Mage Tower was laid out exactly as it had been when she left, with the same furniture and the same paintings on the walls. Countless years had passed, yet everything remained as pristine as ever, as though traces of their life here still lingered.
"When I left, I cast a stasis spell here to preserve it as much as possible, because I knew that once I left, I probably wouldn't return for countless years."
Aivier lifted her head and looked around the Mage Tower.
The past was like drifting mist.
Yet it remained vivid before her eyes.
Holding the Monocle, Lynn looked around the interior of the Mage Tower with curiosity.
The furnishings were simple: a few tables and a large fireplace, which still seemed to hold the remains of the firewood burned back then. A thick, fluffy rug covered the floor before it, and a wooden rocking chair stood nearby, its color unchanged despite the countless years that had passed.
She gave a gentle flick of her fingers.
Red flames immediately sprang to life in the fireplace, illuminating the entire interior of the Mage Tower.
"So this is your Mage Tower, right?"
Lynn wandered around, then walked over to the wooden rocking chair and lay back in it almost instinctively, rocking back and forth.
"You know, living somewhere like this really does seem pretty comfortable."
