There was no space, no time. Reality was gone.
It was like drifting through an eternally desolate void, darkness in every direction, becoming one eternally forgotten by Outside Time.
He could feel the laws within him shattering bit by bit. His flesh and soul were approaching unreality, yet he was still alive, because there was no time here. At the very last moment, when the Firstborn Power within him ran out, his body and will would be frozen forever in Outside Time.
His lips moved.
Reflected in his shattered, unfocused eyes was the multicolored River of Time, receding ever farther from him.
Was he dead?
No.
Or rather, he was about to meet an end millions of times more painful than death.
At the moment Chaos was about to annihilate him, time shattered. He was the first living being flung out of the River of Time, and this was also the first time he had entered the realm of Outside Time with his true form rather than his mind.
"Zuo Zuo..."
He tried with all his strength to call out to her.
But he received no response. In fact, the instant they left the River of Time behind, she had already been frozen forever in the moment when time was lost.
His life, too, had entered its final countdown.
The Trinity's Sinfire had gone out completely. The remaining Firstborn Power sustained his last vestige of existence in Outside Time, but it was already as faint as a firefly's glow.
