Soon.
In less than the time it took an incense stick to burn, every Black Knight in the underground temple had been dealt with. Not one escaped.
"Lord Lynn, I found something. Come and take a look!"
Dragon Guard Lan's voice rang out from the deepest part of the temple.
Lynn looked up, took a single step, and appeared beside her.
Before them, in the deepest part of the temple, stood an enormous wall covered in murals, blocking their path. Painted upon it was a scene of nature: layers upon layers of jungle and countless worshipping subjects, as though commemorating a history of unimaginable antiquity.
Dragon Guard Lan reached out, resting her fingers on the mural's cold surface, and said gravely:
"It's ancient. This place doesn't feel like something from the New World. In fact, I feel it might even predate my birth..."
That was a terrifying thought, because she was an ancient who had lived during the Violet Empire's era, a distant past spanning two world epochs.
But in the Great Cataclysm of the Old World, hadn't everything been reduced to the dust of history, aside from the Violet World they had once inhabited?
What in the world...
Lynn stared at the enormous mural and said:
"I think this is the place we've been looking for."
Against his chest, the Feather Pen grew hotter and hotter.
He slowly reached into his clothes and took out the only relic the Feather Pen had left him.
Under his gaze.
The feather pen moved despite the absence of wind, slowly rising into the air before him and glowing with a faint light.
And as everyone present watched in astonishment, dazzling strands of light began to shine along the outlines of the enormous mural before them, resonating with the feather pen in front
