It was just as fragile, shattering at the first touch.
Crossing that boundary meant officially entering the Main Universe.

They still roared and fought their way forward. They still brandished their swords, charging fearlessly toward the locust-like nightmares.

Even as the darkness tore them apart bit by bit, even as one deity after another fell from the sky while burning through everything they had, they still firmly believed that their King would descend, just as he had every time before, and lead them in holding the darkness back from their home.
