The figure said calmly:
"You are older than I am. You have existed longer than I have. I thought it was reincarnation, life after life, never realizing they were merely phantoms forever moving forward. You led me step by step toward Finality. I thought we shared the same suffering, never knowing that I, too, was merely one of your pawns."
The Time God-King gazed at him in anguish, shaking his head over and over.
"No, Older Brother, I never wanted to use you, and you were never my pawn. I only wanted us to be free, because you have suffered more than I have. We have already endured the torment of eternity. Even out there, all you do is deceive yourself again and again!"
"Only Finality! Older Brother! Only Finality can destroy all of this! Only He can devour time, and only He can free us from this everlasting prison!"
"You don't understand! You don't understand anything!!"
He was nearly hysterical.
At that moment.
Countless densely packed rivers of time burst from his body, like roots and curtains blotting out the sky.
"Violet!"
The instant he roared, the black-robed figure had already broken free of time's restraints. His gaze was cold as ink. In that moment, he marshaled almost all the power of Finality within the End of Time, looking as though the Lord of the End Himself had descended.
The pale curtain of time and the sea-black domain of Finality converged in that instant, unleashing upon him the most terrifying strike this era could muster.
In the silence of Outside Time.
The figure stood there, utterly motionless.
He seemed to raise his head and draw a deep breath, yet there was still not a flicker of emotion in his eyes. He merely raised his hand, gathering the roaring Blackfire.
