Inside the hotel, Lynn stared wide-eyed at the bizarre creature, looking him up and down. At last, he remembered that he had indeed welded together similar couriers back in Wandering Soul Alley.
By joining a Void Leap Beast to a Corrupt Land Turtle King, he had successfully combined the delivery business's strongest defense and fastest speed into a single transformed creature.
The Void Leap Turtle!
"Turtle?!" Lynn stared at his turtle head in surprise, grabbed his shell, and looked him over as he asked:
"Which one are you? The one I sent with a letter to Xiao Xiao? You haven't been crushed yet?"
That was right.
He remembered welding together two Void Leap Turtles.
One had carried a letter asking Xiao Xiao for help, and the other had carried a letter whining to his master.
But both turtles had vanished without a trace after leaving. Lynn had assumed they had been stewed into nourishing turtle soup.
He had even erected two little gravestones in the backyard for them.
"I-"
The Turtle King slowly opened his mouth, producing syllables at a turtle's pace, as though someone had cast a time-slowing spell on him.
"Delivered-to-"
"Blood-"
Lynn's eyes widened, and he quickly exclaimed, "You're Warp Turtle Number Two, the one who delivered a letter to my master?!"
The Turtle King slowly raised his head, then slowly lowered it and opened his mouth.
"Yes-"
"Turtle-"
Lynn said in surprise, "I see! Then where have you been all this time? I spent a lot of money hiring you!"
The Turtle King slowly opened his mouth, looking a little frightened, as though he had recalled some unpleasant memories.
"By-dolls-"
"Toyed-with-"
An image instantly sprang into Lynn's mind: a bunch of dolls pinning down his little turtle and doing some very strange, unfriendly things to him.
