Lynn struggled, his eyes bloodshot and his teeth clenched. In the rumbling black storm, the flesh throughout his body began undergoing uncontrollable mutations, like boiling water, while it felt as though a sledgehammer were pounding his skull.
The rapid decline of his sanity finally activated the Colossus Heart's protective measures.
Thump-
Thump-
Only when his heart began beating like a war drum again did he barely manage to rein in that violent madness.
"We're already... running out of time..."
And finally.
Inside that tiny room in the Abnormal Creature Center.
An old sheet of parchment slowly unrolled on the desk. The Feather Pen lightly dipped into the ink bottle, taking up a little bloodlike ink before touching down on the Parchment Scroll, which already seemed covered in writing.
[The holy Archangel could originally have suppressed the awakening of the Evil Personality within her, but a Jailer's visit finally brought that effort to failure. The Evil Personality once again seized control of her main consciousness and decided to give the returning victors a grand gift.]
[The Feather Pen unconsciously recorded the event because of the fluctuations of the curse. But whether the record came before the events or the events before the record, even the Feather Pen could hardly say, for she remembered nothing.]
[But events did not unfold as the Evil Personality had envisioned.]
[Because she was savoring the pleasure of control, she did not activate the Magic Array immediately. This not only gave the mysterious Human Boy an opportunity, but also allowed the primary personality within her to incorporate, during their struggle, a little power that might change the entire course of events.]
After gazing absently at the ink above, which seemed to have dried only recently.
The Feather Pen turned to the next page.
Then began writing.
