Inside the shop, Lynn followed the Flesh Humanoid, lifting the curtain and heading down the long corridor toward the backyard.
Naturally, Lynn knew this place where he had lived for so many years like the back of his hand. He glanced around. The operating room was on the left, the kitchen on the right, and the storeroom a short distance ahead. Across from the storeroom were the stairs leading to the attic. Everything was so dilapidated that he could clearly hear the rotten floorboards creaking underfoot as he walked.
But, unsurprisingly, everything had taken on a different flavor.
Lynn casually lifted the kitchen curtain and peeked inside. An indescribably strange stench of excrement immediately hit him in the face.
He could even clearly see all sorts of Slimes writhing in what appeared to be a freshly dug pit, giving off peculiar odors-the great decomposers.
Lynn closed his eyes, the corners twitching almost imperceptibly.
"So, could you explain something to me? If the sign says this is a toilet, why do you have so many other side businesses here? Has your line of sleazy business started using such fragrant establishments to receive customers now?"
The Flesh Humanoid ahead clutched the Skeleton Coin in his hands, brimming with excitement, and explained with a sneer:
"We actually hadn't intended to branch out into any other businesses. You're not a local, so naturally, you don't know the situation here. To tell you the truth, the former owner was a fool who offended our Flesh God Cult. Since we've taken over this place, of course we can't let him have even a moment's peace."
"And I imagine anyone would be furious if they learned their home had been turned into something like this. Hehehe."
Lynn closed his eyes.
