"They're here!"

Almost the instant the Flesh Humanoid painfully uttered those words, tentacles glowing green shot out of the black mist behind them, piercing straight through one Flesh Humanoid's chest.
The other Flesh Humanoid fell to the ground in terror.
The impaled Flesh Humanoid's pupils dilated violently. Green cracks spread across his body from within, while his organs and muscles rapidly dissolved into a sloshing mess.
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!!"
The remaining Flesh Humanoid scrambled to his feet in terror and fled headlong.
Shortly after he escaped, the impaled Flesh Humanoid dissolved completely into puddles of green slime. From the billowing black mist behind him, an enormous Night Doctor wearing a Plague Doctor Mask silently emerged and stood before the slime.
The green gaze behind the lenses settled on the distant shop. A tentacle slowly turned the gear beside his face as he said:
"Reporting-located the Flesh God Cult's final stronghold-encirclement complete-will proceed to the target location to rendezvous immediately after cleanup-over-"
Smack-
Inside the Bloodsaw Apothecary, the battered Flesh Humanoid burst in, wracked with pain and his face filled with terror. Scrambling desperately, he shoved open the door to the Back Courtyard.
"We're in trouble! We're in trouble!! The Night Doctor Faction has discovered our strongholds around Wandering Soul Alley! They've begun slaughtering everyone at our bases! We have to retreat now! It'll be too late if we don't leave!"
Terrified, he practically collapsed in front of the Back Courtyard's doorway.
The two captains sitting at the table, heartily enjoying the chicken soup Lynn had prepared for them, froze. Then they sprang to their feet almost reflexively and stared at the Flesh Humanoid who had rushed in.
They exchanged glances, sensed something was wrong, and immediately demanded:
"What's going on? Which unit are you from?!"
