Ch. 1221Take Her Down to Hell!

The Matriarch and Sir Awen triggered Hell’s mechanism to drag the Seraphim into Hell, while Lynn and Lady Blood Cloak prepared to leave and wondered about the Flesh Dominator. The Torch suddenly reignited, and the Seraphim opened her eyes with a blood-red blaze as the anguished cries of the Old Days stirred.

  • The Matriarch told Sir Awen to take the Seraphim to Hell, accepting that her Sister might never return to the world.
  • Sir Awen used his psionics and the others’ power to channel the Seraphim’s black aura into a Magic Array and trigger Hell’s mechanism.
  • The Seraphim rose into the air as curses swept across the Dark World, and Azephala prepared to face her fate in Hell.
  • Lynn and Lady Blood Cloak discussed their likely inability to return to Blue Star and wondered whether the Flesh Dominator had survived the collapsing Spirit World.
  • The discarded Torch flared into a roaring blaze, and the Seraphim opened her eyes as red flames and the anguished cries of the Old Days awakened.

Ch. 1222An unforeseen upheaval!

The Old Days’ lingering wills seized the Seraphim and Cthulhu’s divine bodies, while the Flesh Dominator revealed himself and attacked Lynn’s group. The Night Doctors canceled the summoning and fled as the Matriarch identified the crisis as Ancient God-level.

  • The Seraphim charged at Sir Awen, but a gigantic black hand pierced his chest and shattered his Projection, dragging his will back to Hell.
  • The Flesh Dominator appeared within the Seraphim’s blood-red vision and used the Torch of the Old Days to fuel the Old Days’ defiance and resentment.
  • Cthulhu’s corpse rose from the sea, and the Seraphim fused with it as the possessed pair threatened Lynn and the others.
  • The Matriarch and the other Night Doctors’ Projections returned to the Pacific island badly damaged, and the Matriarch ordered everyone to cancel the summoning and flee.
  • The Night Doctors were dragged back to Hell as the Matriarch told White Night that the Flesh Dominator had taken control of the divine bodies and that the upheaval was Ancient God-level.

Ch. 1223He had gone mad!

Lynn tried to hold back the rampaging Flesh Dominator while the warships evacuated, and learned that the Old Days beings’ despair had driven it mad. After reuniting with the surviving projections, he faced the near-impossible task of dragging it back to Hell without Sir Awen’s help.

  • Lynn ordered the warships to retreat and warned Pacific nations to evacuate their coasts while he fought to contain the Flesh Dominator.
  • The fleets withdrew, and a young recorder called out for Lynn to return alive as he captured a photograph of the battle.
  • White Night told Lynn that Sir Awen’s true body was not badly damaged but could not descend again, while the other projections could only remain briefly.
  • Lynn concluded that the Flesh Dominator had gone mad after realizing the Old Days beings could never escape Hell, and that Cthulhu’s corpse had previously kept it from taking control.
  • Lynn returned to the island, where the remaining projections told him their best chance to pull the Flesh Dominator into Hell had passed and that they likely needed their true bodies to descend.

Ch. 1224The Gate to Hell!

As the Flesh Dominator’s rampage threatened Blue Star, Lynn activated his legendary [Gate] ability to open a passage to Hell. The gate began draining his power, and the chapter ended with Lynn suspecting Hell itself had authorized him to open it.

  • The Silver-Haired Girl proposed waiting for the Flesh Dominator’s projection to expire, but Lynn rejected the plan because the rampage could destroy Blue Star first.
  • Lynn decided to use his [Gate] ability and locked its targets onto Seraphim (Cthulhu) and the Flesh Dominator.
  • Lynn opened a vast, deathlike fissure that stretched toward the Far East and the Far West, and people across the Dark World saw it forming in the sky.
  • As the gate drained Lynn’s power and overloaded his Colossus Heart, the Self-Binding Angel, the Colossus, Titan, and the others channeled their power into him.
  • Lynn recognized the fissure as a Boundary Gate to Hell and suspected that Hell had authorized his ability to open it.

Ch. 1225Turmoil in the Dark World!

Lynn used Leviathan flesh to power the Boundary Gate and forced it open toward Hell. The Gate’s appearance stirred the Dark World, but a vast eyeball suppressed the creatures that tried to reach it, while Sir Awen feared Lynn had caused an enormous disturbance.

  • Lynn used his remaining Leviathan flesh to replenish the energy needed to open the Boundary Gate.
  • The Witch God's projection and the others converted the flesh into energy, and Lynn forced the Gate open until black mist poured through.
  • Creatures across the Dark World sensed the Gate and charged toward it, but Hell's black threads seized and punished them.
  • A rotten wooden hand reached for the Gate but was destroyed by blood-red lightning, while a blood-red figure and other beings held back.
  • An enormous eyeball appeared above the Gate and suppressed the unrest before vanishing into the black mist.
  • Sir Awen watched from Dark Night City and worried that Lynn had caused too great a commotion.

Ch. 1226A terrifying power that left no hope!

Lynn opened the Boundary Gate and unleashed Hell’s chains against the rampaging divine bodies of the Flesh Dominator and Cthulhu. The chains overwhelmed their resistance, but the Colossus Brain’s projection saw no hope of escaping Hell.

  • The Flesh Dominator spotted the opening gate and sent a massive tentacle crashing toward Lynn’s island.
  • Lynn pushed his Colossus Heart to 200% and widened the Boundary Gate as the tentacle threatened to destroy everyone.
  • Black chains burst from the gate, bound the tentacle, and dragged it toward Hell.
  • The Flesh Dominator and Cthulhu severed the tentacle, but more chains bound their fused bodies and suppressed the Old Days wills within them.
  • The Colossus Brain’s projection watched the deities struggle and asked Lynn whether he truly had a way to get them out.

Ch. 1227The final sprint!

Lynn and his allies struggled to keep the Boundary Gate to Hell open while Hell’s chains dragged the Old Days and the Flesh Dominator toward it. As the gate began to fail under repeated impacts, the Self-Binding Angel revealed she could draw in more power at a great cost and charged toward the Summoning Magic Array.

  • Lynn urged his allies to keep fighting and poured energy into holding the Boundary Gate open as Hell’s chains dragged the Old Days and the Flesh Dominator closer.
  • The Flesh Dominator drove the Old God’s body into the Boundary Gate, shattering the Self-Binding Angel’s barrier, injuring the others, and shrinking the gate.
  • Lynn forced more power into the gate, but a second impact severely damaged his Mechanical Body and disabled his left arm.
  • Zuo Zuo used Lynn’s flesh-and-blood left arm to maintain the energy flow, though the arm began to dissolve under the strain.
  • The Self-Binding Angel said she could draw in more power at a great cost, then charged toward the Summoning Magic Array as Sir Awen sensed her awakening.

Ch. 1228You can't die!

The Self-Binding Angel, Colossus Brain, and Witch God burned parts of their divine souls to raise their projections to Monarch-Level and protect the Boundary Gate, leaving Lynn to face the Old Gods with Titan. Titan then launched himself at Cthulhu but bounced into the Boundary Gate.

  • The Self-Binding Angel raised her projection to Monarch-Level, shielded Lynn and the others from a tentacle strike, and shattered while her power slowed the Boundary Gate's contraction.
  • The Colossus Brain burned part of her divine soul to ascend to Monarch-Level, boosting the Colossus Heart before her projection was destroyed.
  • The Witch God ascended to Monarch-Level after stomping on Titan, then charged at the Old God.
  • Titan told Lynn that Monarch-Level power was insufficient against two Ancient Gods and prepared to join the fight as an Origin.
  • Titan leaped at Cthulhu, bounced off its enormous body, and crashed into the Boundary Gate.

Ch. 1229Because he was the most unstoppable Root-Level being!

The Titan fused with his projection and endured Hell’s suppression to drag Cthulhu’s corpse through the Boundary Gate, while Lynn expanded the gate to help. After the gate closed and the corpse was sealed in Hell, a new Root-Level being was born.

  • The Titan’s true body fused with his projection and attacked the Ancient God’s body, using his escalating strength to drag it down despite Hell’s chains and lightning.
  • The Titan gave Lynn three minutes to expand the Boundary Gate, and Lynn pushed his Mechanical Body to its limit as Cthulhu’s corpse emerged further into Hell.
  • The Flesh Dominator lost control as the Old Days’ lingering thoughts were extracted from Cthulhu’s corpse, while Lynn vowed to find a way out of Hell.
  • The Titan dragged Cthulhu’s body completely into Hell, where curses weakened it and suppressed the turmoil and flowing blood of Chaos.
  • Lynn sealed the Boundary Gate on Blue Star, the Flesh Dominator’s will was expelled from Cthulhu’s corpse, and a new Root-Level being was born.

Ch. 1230Zuo Zuo, what should we do?

Lynn helped drag Cthulhu back into Hell, leaving the Titan God and the Flesh Dominator broken by the ordeal, while his allies in Dark Night City endured worsening curses. On Blue Star, Lynn survived the battle and celebrated the dawn with Zuo Zuo, ending on a lewd joke.

  • The Titan God dragged Cthulhu through the Boundary Gate into the Deep Sea, then lost his reason and began rampaging.
  • The Flesh Dominator returned to his followers, laughing madly as tears grew across his body.
  • The Self-Binding Angel, the Colossus Brain, and the Witch God struggled with worsening backlash, while Sir Awen restored their headquarters and warned that Lynn might not return from Blue Star for a long time.
  • On the shattered island, Lynn watched the dawn and joked with Zuo Zuo about being a savior.
  • Zuo Zuo praised Lynn and earned a system achievement, after which Lynn tore off his clothes and made a crude remark about Zuo Luo.

Ch. 1231You idiot!

Lynn teased Zuo Zuo and used Mimicry to transform into her, but Blood Cloak interrupted from inside his body. The chapter left Lynn frozen as Blood Cloak angrily confronted him.

  • Zuo Zuo rebuked Lynn for his indecent suggestion and tried to scratch his face, but Lynn caught her wrist.
  • Lynn claimed Zuo Zuo could move even while he was injured, and she slipped free and tried to hide in his mechanical left arm.
  • Lynn used Mimicry to transform into Zuo Zuo and pinned her down.
  • Blood Cloak spoke from inside Lynn's body, angrily reminding him that she was still there.
  • Lynn froze when he realized Blood Cloak had witnessed the scene, and her anger toward him increased.

Ch. 1232I'll Come Back to Bury You in Two Hundred Years!

After Blue Star’s crisis ended, Lynn and Lady Blood Cloak discussed their plans for Hell and her daughter before she was recalled there. Zuo Zuo left to fetch parts to repair Lynn, while his final quest progress unexpectedly fell from 87% to 86%.

  • Lynn assured Lady Blood Cloak that Blue Star was safe and discussed returning to Hell after visiting his parents.
  • Lady Blood Cloak decided to leave her daughter in Blue Star, kissed Lynn goodbye, and was pulled back to Hell by chains.
  • Lynn teased Zuo Zuo, then ordered her to find Bai Yi in Demon Capital and bring death star crystals to repair his Warp Engine.
  • Zuo Zuo flew toward the mainland, threatening to return in two hundred years and bury Lynn.
  • Lynn checked the Old Days Remnants quest, which required him to bring Cthulhu's Remains to Hell, and watched its progress drop from 87% to 86%.

Ch. 1233Cthulhu's Curse!

Lynn discovered that Cthulhu’s remaining flesh was regenerating and converging on a sea spawn, and realized Azephala might still be on Blue Star. He rushed toward the Trench to find her before the flesh could reach her.

  • Lynn activated psionics mode and searched the seabed for the fragments of Cthulhu’s body.
  • Lynn diagnosed a fragment and learned that Cthulhu’s flesh regenerated and reunited through the Call of Cthulhu.
  • Lynn realized that Azephala could be the sea spawn drawing the flesh toward her and might not yet have completed her rebirth.
  • Lynn rushed toward the Trench, hoping to reach Azephala in time.

Ch. 1234Azephala!

Lynn found Azephala trapped in Cthulhu’s flesh at the bottom of the trench as it tried to transform her into a new Cthulhu. He freed her with Mimicry and escaped toward the surface while the enraged flesh pursued them.

  • Azephala awoke in the trench and struggled against Cthulhu’s flesh as it invaded her body and overwhelmed her will.
  • Lynn arrived and explained that Seraphim and Cthulhu had gone to Hell, leaving the flesh to try to make Azephala its new progenitor.
  • Lynn used Mimicry to shrink Azephala, then pulled her free and carried her away from the tentacles.
  • Lynn dodged the pursuing flesh and shot through the sea’s surface into the sky with Azephala.

Ch. 1235I Will Charge into That Sea of Stars!

Lynn rescued Azephala, but the Old Days’ flesh across Blue Star pursued them because it had made her its new progenitor. He knocked her unconscious and hid her in the system space, then prepared to face the Starry Sky alone.

  • Lynn carried Azephala above the boiling sea as the Old Days’ flesh chased them.
  • Lynn told Azephala that Cthulhu had gone to Hell and that the remaining flesh was trying to transform her into its new progenitor.
  • Azephala offered to let Lynn leave her behind and said she would try to seal herself away to protect the world.
  • Lynn explained that Cthulhu had once charged into the Starry Sky to protect his homeland and revealed his decision to follow that example.
  • Lynn struck Azephala unconscious, placed her in the system space, and looked up toward the Starry Sky.

Ch. 1236That light soaring into the blue sky!

After Zuo Zuo announced that Lynn had defeated the Old Gods, she realized he had never given Bai Yi the Death Star Crystal needed to repair him. She saw a blue light rising from the sea toward the starry sky and understood what Lynn had done.

  • Zuo Zuo reached the fleet and told Messiah and the officers that Lynn had saved their world, prompting celebrations across the ships.
  • Zuo Zuo contacted Bai Yi and asked him to bring the Death Star Crystal out to sea so she could repair Lynn.
  • Bai Yi told Zuo Zuo that Lynn had never given him any Death Star Crystal.
  • Zuo Zuo recalled Lynn's concealed expression and realized he had tricked her about the crystal.
  • Zuo Zuo looked toward the horizon and saw a blue light rising from the sea into the sky.

Ch. 1237Don't you dare leave Zuo Zuo behind this time!

Lynn announced Blue Star’s victory over the Old Gods and urged humanity to become strong enough to face future threats without relying on saviors. As he began a countdown beneath the ascending blue light, Zuo Zuo realized he might be sacrificing himself and leaped toward him, refusing to be left behind.

  • Lynn told the fleets that the Old Gods had been dragged into Hell and that Blue Star had won the war.
  • Lynn urged Blue Star to develop its own strength, promising Dark Night City would share technology and knowledge.
  • The fleets and world leaders saluted Lynn as he thanked humanity and began a countdown into the new era.
  • As blue light rose and the Old Gods’ flesh surged toward it, Zuo Zuo recognized Lynn’s words as a possible farewell and ran onto the deck.
  • Zuo Zuo leaped toward Lynn, crying that she would not let him leave her behind.

Ch. 1238I don't like you anymore!

Lynn accelerated toward the Star Sea, drawing the Old Days flesh after him to protect Blue Star, while Zuo Zuo chased him and demanded he stop deciding her fate without her. Lynn left the atmosphere as Zuo Zuo fell back toward the burning flesh, their separation ending with her heartbroken and unable to hear him.

  • Lynn learned that at least 3% of the Old Days flesh remained and continued accelerating to draw it away from Blue Star.
  • Lynn saw Zuo Zuo chasing him and heard her accuse him of repeatedly leaving her behind without asking what she wanted.
  • Zuo Zuo told Lynn that she would rather die than be treated as a burden, then cried, “I don't like you anymore!!”
  • Lynn activated the final burst of acceleration and left the atmosphere as Zuo Zuo reached the highest point she could climb and began falling.
  • Zuo Zuo watched Lynn's outstretched figure disappear as she fell toward the burning masses of Old Days flesh and finally closed her eyes.

Ch. 1239Zuo Zuo, you're mine!

Lynn rescued Zuo Zuo from the Old Days’ flesh and carried her away from Blue Star into the Outer Cosmos as a new era began. As they traveled through space, they argued over his choice to leave her behind, her secret stash, and the heart she claimed belonged to her.

  • Zuo Zuo sensed Lynn approaching through their connection and watched him seize her wrist as she fell into the Old Days’ flesh.
  • Lynn held Zuo Zuo and flew from Blue Star into the Star Sea, while people below celebrated the beginning of a new era.
  • Zuo Zuo angrily smacked Lynn and threatened to leave him and demand half his Skeleton Coins.
  • Zuo Zuo revealed a stash of Black Skull Coins and other goods, and Lynn confiscated the items he recognized as his own.
  • Lynn explained that he had sent Zuo Zuo away to protect her, while she demanded her heart back and insisted it belonged to her.
  • Lynn refused to return the heart and told Zuo Zuo that she belonged to him too.

Ch. 1240The craziest gamble of all time!

Lynn explained that the Old Days flesh would return to Blue Star if he and Zuo Zuo descended into Hell, so he planned to draw it into Hell instead. He proposed a dangerous gamble to discover what was searching for him and test whether Hell would protect him, and refused to let Zuo Zuo leave his side.

  • Lynn teased Zuo Zuo, who punched him and demanded that he never leave her behind again.
  • Lynn told Zuo Zuo that the Old Days flesh would return to Blue Star if they went to Hell without bringing it along.
  • Lynn explained that he would use the dangerous plan to test what was searching for him and how Hell would respond.
  • Zuo Zuo tried to make Lynn send her back, but he insisted that they would face the gamble together.
