Aikawa Kaze handed Suguru Geto something he wasn't even sure would work to research, and briefly brought up the idea of going undercover.
Of course, since he didn't yet have a good excuse for deducing Brain's abilities, he merely suggested that Suguru Geto put out some bait and wait.
After all, whoever made the first move lost. If Suguru Geto went looking for Brain himself, he might arouse suspicion and make things worse. Better to wait for Brain to approach him.
Now that Suguru Geto had subjugated Mahito, he could artificially "modify" jujutsu sorcerers.
Those vegetative state patients Brain had marked could all be saved now.
However, Suguru Geto wasn't exactly the "helpful" sort these days.
To make his rescue efforts plausible, he would naturally have to modify and upgrade people while saving them. That way, his actions could be interpreted as an attempt to "gain more fellow jujutsu sorcerers."
Coincidentally, that was also Brain's goal. The process would just be a little different, and the spectacle wouldn't be quite as thrilling or chaotic.
As far as Aikawa Kaze was concerned, Brain would most likely come knocking on his own.
Unfortunately, Mahito wasn't particularly bright. Otherwise, having him approach Brain not as Suguru Geto's subordinate but as an equal collaborator might work even better.
Suguru Geto's expression grew exceptionally complicated at that.
"Have you considered that maybe Mahito isn't too stupid, but you're too cunning... I mean, too wise?"
"Thanks for the compliment. I'm touched."
Aikawa Kaze readily accepted the praise and very democratically gave Suguru Geto the freedom to make his own decisions.
"Since you think he's smart, you can make the arrangements! As long as we achieve our goal, that's all that matters."
