Aikawa Kaze had barely taken two steps when he heard an explosion behind him. The corner of his mouth twitched.
"I thought they'd lie on the grass under the moonlight, quietly chatting and reminiscing about old friends! So their way of venting their grief was to have a fight?"
That was very Jujutsu Sorcerer of them, but it was far too unfriendly to ordinary people.
Aikawa Kaze felt exasperated. He could already see quite a few people opening their windows and craning their necks to look outside.
"Seriously, if you're going to fight, couldn't you at least put up a Curtain?"
He really didn't want to deal with this crap, but the commotion around him kept growing. In the end, he gave in.
"Emerge from darkness, blacker than black. Purify all that is tainted, all cursed residue."
Barrier Techniques really were useful. Once he put up the Curtain, the people who had heard the explosion couldn't spot anything amiss, no matter how hard they looked. They assumed they had imagined it, or that someone had turned their television up too loud.
Only after the commotion died down did Aikawa Kaze let out a sigh of relief.
Today had been a little too eventful. For some reason, he felt rather tired.
Aikawa Kaze returned home and greeted Megumi and Tsumiki, only to discover that Toji Fushiguro had gone off somewhere.
Considering that the man was never one to stay home, he didn't bother asking. Toji had finished all his chores anyway, so it didn't really matter if he went out for some fresh air.
After lying down on his bed and closing his eyes, he instinctively began meditating again, taking the opportunity to see if he could break through the world barrier.
