Aikawa Kaze had assumed that, with Junpei Yoshino's introverted personality, the boy probably wouldn't approach him on his own.
He hadn't expected Junpei to be so eager to invite him out, either. This kid really was desperate for friends!
He completed his missions pretty efficiently anyway, so taking an evening off to have fun wouldn't hurt.
With that thought, Aikawa Kaze teleported straight to the Gymnasium, then made his way to the school gates along the familiar route.
He had initially thought that if Junpei Yoshino was already there and standing close to the gates, he would have to take a detour, climb over the wall somewhere off to the side, and pretend he'd come from elsewhere.
What Aikawa Kaze hadn't expected was that, although Junpei Yoshino had arrived, he was standing with his back to the gates, some distance away.
The boy seemed absorbed in something on his phone and wasn't paying any attention to this side.
Since that was the case, Aikawa Kaze couldn't be bothered to take the long way around. He simply hopped lightly over the gates and landed behind Junpei Yoshino.
What Aikawa Kaze hadn't noticed was that Junpei Yoshino, whom he thought was engrossed in his phone, was actually using its front-facing camera to watch the school gates.
Even with his back to the gates, Junpei Yoshino wasn't oblivious to what was happening behind him.
What Aikawa Kaze knew even less about was how that weightless little leap had reinforced Junpei Yoshino's misunderstanding-and supplied him with a few interesting new tidbits of supposed knowledge.
I already checked that there wasn't anyone else in the school. So it really is true?
He looks so cool floating out that easily! Even as a ghost, he's a handsome one!
*But I never expected ghosts to show up
