Quantum Computer Sub-Laboratory.
As they watched Elder Lin struggle to tap the keyboard with his outstretched fingers, a look of distress crossed everyone's eyes.
Mo Zeyang parted his lips slightly, but no words came out.
By now, every researcher present understood.
This was probably the last bit of radiance Elder Lin could give.
The sound of keystrokes echoed through the silent laboratory, slow but steady.
"..."
The keystrokes suddenly stopped.
Everyone's heart lurched, and they turned to look at the old man.
A muffled voice came from beneath the oxygen mask.
Mo Zeyang quickly bent down and leaned toward him. "Elder Lin, what did you say?"
"M-my glasses?" Elder Lin's weak voice came through the oxygen mask. "Why can't I see very clearly?"
At those words, Mo Zeyang could no longer contain his emotions.
He discreetly wiped away his tears and choked out, "Elder Lin, your glasses are right there on your nose!"
Elder Lin said nothing. He merely narrowed his eyes slightly and began typing again.
A little later, Elder Lin's voice sounded once more.
"Ahem... the architecture diagram is finished."
Mo Zeyang's eyes stung sharply at those words, and a stream of hot tears spilled down his face.
"Good, good..." Mo Zeyang nodded through his sobs as he wiped the tears from his face.
"Help me... save it." Elder Lin's voice grew increasingly indistinct.
Mo Zeyang nodded and hurriedly crouched down, using the mouse to save the file on the computer.
When he saw the confirmation that the file had been saved, Elder Lin slowly let out a weary breath. As though a burden had been lifted from his mind, his whole body relaxed.
His gaze passed beyond the computer before him and drifted into empty space. A glimmer suddenly lit his slightly clouded eyes. "What a pity..."
