One week later.
Mars Spaceport.
Wilson gazed fervently at the behemoth outside the viewport.
It was the Luan Bird Starship, which had undergone two refits.
At the very front of the Starship were five Electromagnetic Coilgun barrels.
Six laser generators, each with a radius of 9.5 meters, were distributed along its two sides.
The Ion Beam Weapons had been installed on top of the Luan Bird Starship.
Though its appearance was rather ugly, there was no questioning the Luan Bird Starship's firepower. It was humanity's most powerful weapons platform, bar none!
"Professor, how are you planning to test its power?"
Wilson rubbed his hands excitedly and turned to ask, his face full of anticipation.
As the developer of two... no, one and a half of its weapons, Wilson naturally had high hopes for this weapons system test.
Lü Yongchang turned his head and gestured toward the viewport on the other side with his chin. "There. The test target is over there."
Wilson followed Lü Yongchang's gaze.
"..." He stared blankly at the so-called "test target" in the distance.
A few seconds later, Wilson's startled cry rang through Mars Spaceport.
"P-Professor Lü?"
"Are you sure you want to use a Luan Bird Type I Starship as the target?!!"
Outside the viewport, a Luan Bird Starship with a somewhat weathered exterior slowly headed into deep space, several dark-blue plumes streaming from its stern.
"Of course."
Lü Yongchang nodded noncommittally. "As this will be our main weapon in the future, I need to know exactly how powerful it is."
"Otherwise, we'll suffer badly in future Interstellar Wars."
"Besides..." He gave a self-deprecating chuckle. "Surely the weapons we've worked so hard to develop can at least cut through a Starship built a few years ago?"
Wilson swallowed hard and looked at Lü Yongchang beside
