As the three robots stepped into the methane sea, Gao Yang let out a long breath. "Now all we have to do is wait, right?"
Zhao Zijie nodded slightly. "It probably won't take more than a few days for these robots to send back their readings."

The seabed sloped steeply straight down into the depths.
The robots' movements stirred up the once-clear methane sea into a murky haze.
It was fine sand formed by the action of the methane sea's "currents."
The weak searchlights on their heads illuminated the path ahead.
To control their temperature, the power output of every component inside the robots, which were wrapped in thick insulation, had been severely reduced.
As a result, their searchlights could illuminate only a small area ahead of them, leaving most of their surroundings in darkness.
Zhao Zijie turned to look at the readings beside him.

Surprise flickered in his eyes. "They've reached a depth of fifty meters already?"
