"At the moment of collision, we could produce a genuine Micro Black Hole."
"A Micro Black Hole is extremely unstable. Almost the instant it forms, it evaporates due to Hawking radiation."
"So we need a way to stabilize this Micro Black Hole..."
"Professor!"
After a moment's hesitation, an academician stepped forward and interrupted Lü Yongchang. "I don't think stabilizing the Micro Black Hole is our most pressing problem right now."
"Hmm?" Lü Yongchang raised his eyebrows. "Go on."
"A black-hole-encircling particle collider... how are we supposed to build it?" the academician asked hesitantly. "Professor, this isn't like a planet-encircling particle collider. It requires an enormous amount of material."
"The fleet doesn't currently have that much material in reserve."
"In fact, our antimatter reserves won't even allow us to remain near the black hole for much longer."
"From any perspective, building a black-hole-encircling particle collider is a massive undertaking that Human Civilization cannot currently accomplish."
His words resonated with quite a few people.
That was natural, and easy to understand.
So far, the fleet had spent nearly 350 years receiving all the data.
Yet its antimatter reserves only allowed it to remain near the black hole for 500 years.
In other words, the Human Fleet had, at most, 150 years left.
Following conventional methods, even with ample supplies, building a Ring Black Hole Particle Accelerator, conducting the necessary experiments, and then using those results to develop a Warp Drive...
