"This... this is impossible!"
William Blair's face was deathly pale, and veins bulged on the backs of his hands as he gripped the document!
The next instant, he jerked his head up and looked at the man who had brought him the document, his face twisting as he barked, "Quick! Get the car ready!"
"The car?" A flicker of confusion crossed the man's eyes, and he instinctively asked, "Where are we going?"
"The White House!"
William Blair grabbed the coat beside him and yanked open his office door. "I want to be at the White House gates in ten minutes!"
The White House, United States.
Clutching the sheet of A4 paper bearing the intelligence report, William Blair rushed toward the president's office.
Then...
Unsurprisingly, two tall bodyguards blocked his way.
"Let me through! I have extremely important intelligence to report to the president!"
As he spoke, William waved the document in his hand.
"I'm sorry, sir, but this is Mr. Albert's nap time!" the bodyguard said expressionlessly.
William Blair's eyes widened. He was so furious that he actually laughed!
"WTF?!"
"Do you know who I am?"
"You're the director of the United States Central Intelligence Agency, sir," the bodyguard continued calmly. "But I still can't let you through. Mr. Albert specifically instructed us not to let anyone disturb his nap."
"Sir, please try to understand our position. If we let you through, we'll lose our jobs," the other bodyguard added.
"Hah..." William Blair scoffed and gave the two bodyguards a pointed look. "Fine. I hope you two remember what happened today!"
"Tell me, how much longer does the president's nap last?"
"...Five minutes. You can wait in the waiting area over there." Clearly unconcerned by William's threat, the bodyguard casually pointed to the chairs along the hallway.
Five minutes
