The Talodan fleet.
After briefly replenishing its energy and essential supplies, the Talodan fleet had left the barren stellar system behind.
It had no choice. The invaders pursuing it relentlessly, refusing to give up the chase, could appear at any moment.
Every bit of distance gained gave the Talodan Civilization a little more hope of survival.
Aldan, leader of the Talodan Civilization, operated his propulsion unit and glided swiftly through the Starship's weightless interior.
The black-and-white fur covering his body trembled slightly, betraying his deep unease.
He was heading to the laboratory.
The findings sent back by the probe some time ago had terrified far too many people, especially ordinary citizens.
Dangerous signs had already begun to emerge within their civilization-quite a few Talodans had chosen suicide in the face of such despair.
As their leader, he had to soothe those citizens whose emotions had reached extremes, while also visiting the laboratory to reassure the scientists and learn about their new destination.
"Greetings, Leader!"
"Lord Aldan, greetings!"
"..."
As he glided along, he encountered many crew members.
These round balls of black-and-white fur paid their respects to him as they floated in the air.
He deserved it.
After all, if he had not withstood all the pressure and pushed the Escape Plan through single-handedly, not only the Talodan Civilization but even these few battered Starships might no longer exist.
The invaders' madness was etched deep into his bones.
Whenever he recalled the scenes of past battles, his fur would tremble uncontrollably.
Watching the laboratory doors slowly open ahead, he deftly operated his propulsion unit to slow down-the airflow behind him gradually weakened, while a powerful jet of air burst out in front of him.
Through the widening gap between the doors, he saw the two familiar scientists, Milo and Maren.
