Cleaners Civilization headquarters.
[Su] stared in shock at the scene displayed on the light screen.
Only after a long while did they recover, a trace of lingering fear surfacing in their eyes. "[Membrane]... is this [Membrane]'s power?"
The advantages the Cleaners Civilization had gained in past wars now seemed insignificant.
The attacks that struck the combined fleets of the Gardener Faction and the Cleaners were merely stray aftershocks. Even so, the Cleaners had lost over ten million conventional warships, while the Gardener Faction had lost hundreds of thousands of dimensional beings.
The losses were devastating, yet compared to those suffered by Human Civilization and the Neutral Faction, they seemed hardly worth mentioning.
As the balance of the war swung forcefully in their favor, [Su] felt no joy whatsoever. Instead, boundless fear and worry welled up within them.
Could the Cleaners Civilization's fleet withstand a five-dimensional attack from [Membrane]?
The answer was clearly no.
They took a deep breath, steadied themselves, and turned toward another light screen.
Repairs had reached the minimum threshold required to activate the Universe-Spanning Accelerator. In theory, this was already enough to produce sufficiently powerful particle collisions.
For now, [Membrane]'s attention was focused on Human Civilization and the Neutral Faction.
Without question, this was the best opportunity to conduct the experiment!
But!
Attempting the universe-spanning particle acceleration experiment with an accelerator operating at the bare minimum was an extremely risky decision-one that depended heavily on luck.
If anything went wrong, the experiment would fail.
[Su] had originally hesitated. After all, waiting just a little longer would dramatically increase the experiment's chances of success.
But the terrifying power [Membrane] had displayed on the battlefield completely erased what little hesitation remained in [Su]'s heart.
If we don't take the gamble now, when will we?
