Hashirama's face fell.
Genya thought for a moment, then spoke.
"Lady Tsunade, I think there's a problem with this arrangement."
"What problem?"
"You're the Hokage, and we're your guards. But if someone attacks you and we intervene, they're done for. Then people will say the Fifth Hokage goes everywhere with two killing machines. That's terrifying."
Tsunade raised an eyebrow.
"So?"
"So..."
Genya spoke with a perfectly straight face.
"For the sake of your public image, we should keep our distance. Follow from afar without being noticed. That's what professional guards do."
Tsunade stared at him for three seconds.
"Say what you actually mean."
Genya spread his hands.

Tsunade took a deep breath.
Then she exploded.
"GENYA UCHIHA!!!"
Her voice made the windows rattle.
"You think I don't know what you're thinking?! You just want to slack off! You want to go back and watch dancing! You want to see that woman from the Konoha Military Police Force tonight! And squeeze in a visit to the Hyuga Clan to keep that little girl company!"
Genya took a step back.
"Calm down, calm down..."
"Calm down, my ass!"
Tsunade slammed her hand down. With no desk left to hit, she grew even angrier.
"Shizune! Bring me a new desk!"
Shizune hurried out.
Only the three of them remained in the office.
Hashirama quietly edged a step toward the door.
"Stop right there!"
Tsunade pointed at him.
"Don't think you're getting away either, Grandpa! You think I don't know? How much did you lose at the Gambling Den yesterday?"
Hashirama gave a sheepish smile.
"Not much... just a million..."
"A million! That was the Daimyo's money!"
"I was going to lose it anyway. What difference does it make who I lose it to...?"
Tsunade pressed a hand
