After making the rounds, Hanabi had quite a haul.

A mask hung around her neck, she hugged the little bear she had just won, and a pair of glowing bunny ears sat on her head.

Genya carried bags of all sizes, while Ino and Hinata helped with a few.

Naruto hugged the little orange fox, and Sasuke had acquired a mask too. Hanabi had forced it on him, saying, "You'll look really cool in this, Sasuke!"

Sasuke had said, "I don't want it," but took it anyway.

At the end of the street, they ran into another group.

"Naruto! Sasuke! Genya!"

It was the rest of the Konoha 12.

Sakura, Shikamaru, Choji, Kiba, Shino, Tenten, Neji, and Rock Lee were all there.

Sakura held a candy apple, Shikamaru trailed lazily behind, Choji hugged a large bag of potato chips, Akamaru perched on Kiba's shoulder, Shino followed silently, Tenten carried a little lantern, and Neji walked beside them with a blank expression.

Rock Lee stood out the most, his brand-new green tracksuit dazzling amid the crowd.

"What are you all doing here?"

Naruto sounded surprised.

Sakura rolled her eyes at him.

"It's the New Year's night market. Who wouldn't come out?"

Shikamaru yawned.

"My mom dragged me out."

Choji munched on potato chips.

"As long as there's food."

Kiba raised a hand.

"I brought Akamaru out for a walk!"

Akamaru barked.

Rock Lee clenched his fists.

"You can't slack off just because it's New Year's! I just finished ten laps and stopped by to look around!"

Neji stood beside him, expressionless, while Tenten whispered.

"Actually, Guy-sensei told him to come. He said he was too wound up..."

With everyone gathered together, they blocked half the street.

Surrounded by the group, Hanabi wasn't shy at all. She greeted them one by one.
