Yu Xiuyuan watched Yun Chuan lean closer to the screen, his features sharp and his nose straight.
That handsome face got him.
He stopped dodging. He wasn't the one still at work, anyway.
He gave the screen a provocative look, his voice taking on a teasing lilt:
"Then tell me, why do you want to come back sooner?"
Yun Chuan's breath caught, and his gaze darkened.
Just as he was about to speak, someone in the distance called him over for the shoot.
The image shook, then went black again.
He had probably pressed the phone against his chest again.
In the darkness, Yu Xiuyuan heard Yun Chuan answer that he would be right there. Only then did the screen light up again.
Knowing Yun Chuan had to get back to work, Yu Xiuyuan stopped teasing him.
"Go on. Don't rush the shoot too much, and stay safe."
Yun Chuan glanced at the crew nearby, unable to say much more:
"The signal here is unstable. Sometimes messages don't come through. I'm not ignoring you."
Yu Xiuyuan knew he was explaining why he hadn't replied for hours, and smiled:
"Stop right there! I'm not the clingy type who expects you to reply instantly."
After hearing that, Yun Chuan nodded silently, gave Yu Xiuyuan another lingering look, and ended the video call.
What was he supposed to do?
He seemed to be the clingy type who wanted Yu Xiuyuan to reply to his messages instantly...
Did Yu Xiuyuan dislike that?
If he really did, Yun Chuan could hold himself back.
Yun Chuan put away his phone and threw himself into the shoot, working overtime. Getting back sooner would help more than anything else.
For once, Yu Xiuyuan spent a little longer on his phone before reluctantly going to sleep.
Not staying up
