Yun Chuan was brimming with ambition, holding forth on his grand plans.
Up on the stargazing terrace, Yu Xiuyuan was getting a little cold from watching the stars.
He had invited Su Ziming too, who had said he would come over in a bit. Who knew what had held him up? He still hadn't shown up after all this time.
The wind wasn't strong, but it kept sneaking down their collars.
Yu Xiuyuan tucked in his neck and bounced around a few times, no longer wanting to wait for Su Ziming.
"Qiu, this breeze is pretty sneaky. Let's head back."
Qiu Ziye had still been feeling sad, but hearing him call the wind "sneaky," he couldn't help laughing.
He really was softhearted. He must have been trying to cheer him up.
He raised a hand in a shushing gesture and lowered his voice.
"Keep it down. If they hear you, they might ambush you."
Yu Xiuyuan hadn't expected Qiu Ziye to have such a sense of humor. It looked like he wasn't sad anymore.
As they walked back, Yu Xiuyuan puffed out a breath every few steps, some long and some short.
Qiu Ziye couldn't figure out what he was doing and kept turning to look at him.
Ever considerate, Yu Xiuyuan cleared up his confusion.
"I'm watching my breath. You have no idea, but while we were talking just now, I kept thinking we looked like two jet engines."
"High-output ones, too. Our exhaust went super far."
Watching the mist coming out of his mouth as he spoke, Qiu Ziye felt his whole world crumble.
Jet engines?
When I thought I was making such a romantic confession, he was thinking of me as a jet engine?
With exhaust that went super far?
Oh no. Now I can picture it...
