Yu Nian slept fitfully, his body instinctively rolling toward the person beside him.
Instead, he rolled from one side of the bed to the other without encountering anyone.
After a while, he opened his eyes in confusion and stared blankly at the empty room.

Yu Nian threw back the covers and ran out, only to collide with a solid chest as he rounded the corner outside the room.
Catching the familiar scent, Yu Nian felt as though he had found his safe haven. He threw himself into Qin Yuheng's arms and stayed there.
"I'm here."
Seeing how tightly Yu Nian clung to him, Qin Yuheng wrapped his arms around him and picked him up.
Yu Nian buried his face against his shoulder and nuzzled him, his voice tinged with hurt. "Where did you go?"
"I went to take care of a few things." Qin Yuheng lowered his head to kiss him. Seeing his gloomy expression, he couldn't help asking, "What's wrong?"
"I had a dream," Yu Nian said sadly as Qin Yuheng carried him into the elevator.
"What did you dream about?"
"I dreamed about when I was little. Grandpa took me to catch fish, and I fell into the water. I was so scared I couldn't stop crying, so Grandpa carried me home on his back..."
Yu Nian spoke in fits and starts, his chest aching with pent-up emotion.
Qin Yuheng carried him to the sofa and sat down with him. "Do you miss Grandpa?"
Yu Nian nodded. "The Qingming Festival is coming up. I want to go back and visit him."
Qin Yuheng rubbed his head and said gently, "All right. We'll go back together for Qingming."
"Are you hungry? What would you like to eat? I'll ask Sister-in-law Chen to make it."
