The Orc had two fatal wounds. A piece of shrapnel had struck his temple, drawing a great deal of blood, while a blade had slit his throat, drawing very little. Clearly, the shrapnel to the temple had been what actually killed him. The slit throat had merely been a finishing blow delivered after his death. The only mystery was how he had ended up here.
Yu Lin Bloodhawk looked around again. Not far away, the Orc's Worg lay on the ground, breathing faintly. An arrow had struck the beast in the back. Judging by its angle, it had been fired diagonally downward from above.
He thought for a moment, then suddenly smiled. This Orc must have died some time ago, but his body had stayed on his Worg, which had carried him along with the retreating Orc force. There was a bend here, though, and centrifugal force had flung him off the Worg's back when it turned.
Seeing its master fall, his mount had returned to stand guard beside him. Eventually, an Elf Gryphon Rider had come along, trailing the retreat to pick off stragglers and wounded Orcs suffering from poison. On spotting the Orc's Worg, the rider had shot it down from the air with a poisoned arrow, then landed to slit the Orc's throat as a finishing blow.
"This guy was seriously tough! An elite through and through," Yu Lin Bloodhawk said admiringly. "Dead, but still in the saddle! Impressive!"
"He certainly was tenacious!" Sylvanas had figured it out too. "He was a warrior worthy of respect!" she said.
"Once this battle is over, give me every suit of armor like this one!" Yu Lin Bloodhawk said.
"What would you use them for? The difference in build is too great! Apart from Orcs, no Elves, Trolls, or humans
